I don't get it, Flo. You got EPIC TRAINING FOOTAGE of two surgically professional titans giving each other a good round and there are TWO cameras on them but the editor doesn't cut to the other camera to give us better views??? Completely missed that take down at 4:25 but there's a dude with a camera getting that footage...? Don't do drugs, Flo! When Gordon and Giancarlo and Meregali are rolling together don't you dare take our eyes off them!

8:13 with the triangle locked at the bottom, couldn't Bodoni use his right leg to pommel behind Gordon's bottom/left ankle or calf to try to unravel the body lock?? Bodoni was already on his side and the 2 legs are pretty close to each other. Can some higher belts suggest what other options someone could use to get out, that i might not be seeing?

Yeah, and this is Gordon just going easy and letting his opponent get good positions on him. That's how these guys improve. They never go hard in training. Gordon specifically would always go very easy in training. Putting himself in bad positions is a good thing, and most of the top guys try that.

gordon doesn't look as juicy as last adcc and it makes me sad
@billj4525
@billj4525 2 ай бұрын
Hard to tell, but he looks probably 10 pounds smaller or so. Trust me, he knows what he's doing though, and maybe felt he could lower his dose slightly. He never looked juiced when competing to me anyway. It was the photos and the magazines where he looked juiced. Gordon definitely is coming in there at his best regardless of what he takes. If he's on a smaller dose then it's for a reason. He'll be at his best, and hopefully performs at his best as well. Remember, the juice is a very very small part of the total product, it's about the jiu jitsu and the technique, especially with a guy like Gordon, and he's talked about this. The juice will just help his athletic ability, and I'm sure he's on enough to optimize his performance with that.

Well Gordon got bigger and stronger, but I don't think his jiu jitsu improved at at all. That kind of goes without saying though, obviously steroids wouldn't improve the technical part of jiujitsu. The big thing for Gordon was his size, which also allowed him to be stronger.

@tinoslaponi8514 2 ай бұрын
Just my 2 cents as an old Black belt. I don't think Gordon was giving 100%, it looked like he allowed quite a few advantages that he could have easily defended. Of course you never know how many rounds each athlete had already done. I suspect that if Gordon really wanted the tap, he would have gotten it. Take nothing away from Bodoni, I've rolled with him and he destroyed me, but he's about 30lbs smaller than Gordon.
@billj4525
@billj4525 2 ай бұрын
@@tinoslaponi8514 Oh yeah, not a chance he was. A guy like Gordon would never go 100% in training. In fact, I'm sure he lets his opponent get good positions on him. Going his hardest would not help Gordon improve. I hope people aren't thinking he's going anywhere near his hardest. Gordon is the best. Getting in bad spots and learning from this is one way he improves. He goes easy on even the toughest opponents, or easier I should say.

This is sparring. You realize Gordon never goes anywhere close to 100% in sparring. He purposely puts himself in bad positions, that's one way he improves. This is a technique many top guys use.
