Undisputedly the greatest active No-gi grappler in Jiu Jitsu, Gordon Ryan is a 3x ADCC champion, 4x EBI champion, and IBJJF world champion. "King" Ryan is a student under John Danaher and a member of the well known Danaher Death Squad (DDS) including the likes of Garry Tonon, Craig Jones, and last but not least the infamous Mike "The Sultan of Strangles" Rakshan.

I remember rolling with this guy about 8 years ago. He was probably 150 lbs and I was 130. Controlled me in mount from start to finish, and that was the only time I’ve ever been completely helpless while rolling

Great video. Showcases Gordon's skill set and talents. Never cranks submissions, let's jiu jitsu practitioners fight another day. Hopeful that he's able to control and stabilize his gasteoparisis. Adcc 2022 without him would be a shame. Plus the potential of Gordon vs Andre. Thanks for the video. Great work

I just can’t see how he doesn’t become successful in MMA. He has an insane work ethic first and foremost, already has arguably the most impressive No-Gi jiu jitsu credentials ever, has the right people around him and The main thing is he is only 25! A lot of people I see are saying things like “now he is gonna learn the difference between real fighting and jiu jitsu” and that is correct, BUT, he is gonna have the time to learn. At 25 he can gradually fight opponents and work his way up getting the correct seasoning he needs to compete at the higher levels. Whether you love him or hate him, one thing is a certainty, we’re gonna see him in the UFC one day, I say he’ll have won a championship in ONE by the time he is 30. Very intrigued to see how his career will unfold from here.

ONE is generally pathetic. Little ground game knowledge. Look at a low level grappler like De Ridder taking down EVERYONE at ONE without trying. Ridiculous. Ryan will MAUL the competition at ONE, including De Ridder. Won’t be close. The game gets more interesting at the UFC level where MMA is real and fighters actually have access to proper training and coaching.

He said as the sport of grappling got bigger J.donaher wanted him to be the best at that and then transition over. GRyan also said he felt like he didnt have someone to take up the mantel after he leaves - just yet. He wanted someone in he's squad to take over from him if he transition as he's becoming a bigger star and stuff for the sport of jujitsu and grappling etc. I dont know what would happen with him in regards to he's weight as hes on the fringes of light heavy and HW in UFC. Stipe is 6'4 and he's not that big as a HW i think Gordon is about 6'1? No doubt in a rolling match it doesn't really matter about height or weight for someone like him but in a MMA fight with everything else involved I can see him struggling. Be interesting to see what he hopefully does after he's ONE contract. Also he has that stomach problem were he struggles with eating and maintaining he's size so that could also play a factor.

AJJ Gordon & Cia are so good that in Abudhabi only Brazilians won. Gordon and Americans are good is mimimi, they are throats, they have no history, nor important titles, Gordon and three more won something, in Brazil there are hundreds of champions. It creates shame in your face mr. Gordon. You are a silent poet. Pr.J.J.S.

I dont know too much about jiu-jitsu but I like seeing it in mma. And I hear joe rogan talk alot about the gracies. Would this guy beat them? What about Eddie bravo or any of his students? Is this guy like today's best, and jiu-jitsu just evolves all the time, so he's probably the best to ever do it? 🤔
