The fact that Gordon can make amazingly, masterful dishes is really impressive. But the fact that he can make simple, easy, homemade dishes is absolutely lovely. I never had a desire to cook in my entire life, being an auto mechanic, but this man has inspired me to cook one of my favorite foods ever. Fish. And as someone from Florida, we have plenty of it. I’m so grateful for the internet and the knowledge that people, like Ramsay are available to us with the touch of a button on our phones. Do I sound old? Hahah.

@gonzalo4658 Жыл бұрын
There's a reason he's got all those michelin restaurants. There is a fine distinction between a chef and just a person who does food. A chef places nutrition and safety to premier importance in his food, because the classiest dishes are clean, small, simple, and leave the kitchen easy to clean. Gordon has a brother who did drug abuse. He knows a thing or two about eating incorrectly, and other bad lifestyle habits. Real chefs enamor themselves with the art of the lifestyle. Just like the art of music is absorbed in the silence in between as opposed to the fine melodies themselves. People who just 'like food' typically make lots of sweets and nasty-looking dishes, over-marinate meat, over-emphasize red meat, not unlikely to be obese, have crowded kitchens and 100% always leave their kitchen a mess after they're done making whatever the fuck it is.

I just improvised this recipe. Used on branzino. Never cooked fish before, so went on instinct. Started with tablespoon of my own pizza spice mix (about 40% garlic powder, 25% onion powder, 3% chilli pepper powder, 20% parsley-aregano-basil mix, 4% sugar, 2% "equal" sweetner 5% black pepper); added teaspoon garlic powder, 2 teaspoons onion powder, large pinch each of black pepper, red pepper flakes, ginger powder, teaspoon of sugar, then stirred. Added about 3 tbs each of orange juice and extra virgin olive oil, large splash each of soy sauce and fresh lemon juice, pinch of lemon rind. Stirred. Added about 2.5 tbs ground almonds, stirred until thickened to wet mortar texture. Placed raw brazino on plastic wrap, poured entire mixture on and around the fish, and in the pocket where innards were removed; tightly wrapped the fish pressing the mixture into the fish, let marinade 3 hours in fridge. Baked at 350 about 12 minutes, flipped and repeated. Best fish I ever ate except for (maybe; it was very, very close) seared tuna at my favorite restaurant (they do a terriaki and sesame approach); though I'd have to admit chopped raw tuna seasoned right or by itself is as good as it gets, when perfectly fresh.

Red mullet with sweet chilli sauce- 🤤🤩 To make sweet chilli sauce • Add salt,sugar and chilli together and start grinding it (i forgot!! 😳 - u also add 2 clove of garlic) • Afterwords, add again 2tbsp of fish sauce, rice wine vinegar and 2 tbsp of olive oil. Along with: Spring onion, half a lime ,coriander. GrinD it together. • FinaLLy, Make sure this mixture sits alone in the corner of your kitchen for as long as it can. • To make the coat for ur fish: add peanut, chilli flakes, salt, coriandor in a mixture ball. Try to crush them as much as you can untill a crumbly mixture is formed. • Mix 2 BIG/small egg + fish sauce • Coat the mullet (fish 🐟) with the egg mixture first. Then completely (if u want 😋) coat it with the peanut mixture with no spaces spared. • Make sure the pan is PIPING hot 🥵🍳 BEFORE putting in the oil and coated mullet. • Turn over each side when its golden fried and finish it off by sprinkling in lime • Finally put the chillli sauce at the end of your fish • And there u have ur spicy sweet chilli sauce red mullet 👩🍳✌

Science has not proven definitively if butter is good or bad for you but now it's leaning towards being better for you than sugar. Saturated fat does not cause cholesterol, cholesterol is naturally created by your body and calcium is what causes clogged arteries. Trans fats are 100% bad but that is in very small amounts in regular butter. There is also good cholesterol (HDL) and bad cholesterol (LDL). My point is the butter is probably better for you than the sugar you put in your coffee.

Sugar is the secret ingredient in most restaurant dishes. It melts and starts to caramelize and helps brown things without becoming greasy like using too much oil. even dishes you wouldn't think go with sugar become much better with tsp of sugar. Vegetables, meat anything. Caremelized onions with sugar omg....

I LOVE these recipes! and his videos that you can make at home. Thanks, Gordon for these amazing videos as I have learned so much from your videos. I worked in a lot of 5star restaurants. Ok. Lesson about chili peppers. I’m a chilihead. I’ve ate peppers a lot, and actually have a KZbin channel. The seeds aren’t hot. What makes a pepper hot is the spongy part the pit, or placenta. Capsaicin oil comes from the spongy part and gets on the seeds and inner lining of the pepper. If you wash a handful of pepper seeds off good, and eat them. There won’t be any heat when you eat them. Because inside a pepper seed is no heat.
