This episode went beyond Hotel Hell. This became a personal, heartfelt matter quickly. The two of them were clearly trying their best, after all they'd been through. They weren't failing because they didn't care. They were just two lovely souls who were down on their luck, hard. From adding the robata grill for Sukie to express herself, and her love of cooking, in a way that still holds a Japanese flair, to Gordon renting them both a beautiful place to live for a half a year out of his own pocket just so they could be happier, and have a healthier marriage and life. This is what makes television, and people, great. God bless.

Areej Bhatti, he just has a no bullshit type of personality especially when it comes to food or business stuff. That I think is definitely exaggerated for tv at times but as a person the dude genuinely seems to care and seems like a good person who just wants to help people out. I watched some of his earlier shows back in the UK(like the one where he helped inmates learn how to cook) and you can still see some of that anger but he is a lot more centered and genuinely caring. The rest is a persona like you said.
@areej96347 жыл бұрын
Yeah especially in kitchen nightmares UK and the inmates show he's really quite chill, he still swears and has a go at them, but it's not nearly as dramatic with the crazy zooming and dramatic music.I feel like american tv is just so overdone.

I guess it is just so silly and "overdone" as you put it that it is entertaining for people to watch? Who knows. I think its just people are lazy and don't want to have to figure out subtle things so they would rather go with the exaggerated and absurd.

Gordon is only 'mean' to people who are incompetent, lazy or do not show responsibility and accountability with their jobs. He's got zero time for others peoples bullshit and egos. He's no where near as harsh with the people who actually work for him or with people who are genuinely in need of help and willing to make changes.

The thing with Gordon Ramsay is people don't understand that he doesn't want to be a hardass. The problem with so many restaurants and hotels are the owners who are severely deluded as to their fortunes and why their businesses are struggling. The owners here absolutely needed help. Suki was open with how she had no formal training as a chef. They lost their house and almost everything because of the horrific car accident. They were humble and knew they were in bad times, and Gordon knew they would be the most appreciative of a fresh start

People saying Gordon is an ass and all. Gordon is a human being, you treat him respectfully, he gives it back. Most of the episodes are awful people who care little, give attitude or just dont have any pride in themselves to earn Gordon's respect. Suki and her spouse and family treated Gordon with humility and respect, and henceforth the end result.

He was critical at the beginning, especially when he found out that Suki is not an experienced Chef until he realized why they are in that position... Gordon has a good heart for helping them, but it goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its covers. He might have thought it was silly that she was the Chef, without any experience, but he didn't know why. Once he knew, he understood. Don't judge, some people struggle behind the curtains they put up.
