They are so greatful for everything it's hard not to feel something for them. This episode went beyond Hotel Hell. This became a personal, heartfelt matter quickly. The two of them were clearly trying their best, after all they'd been through. They weren't failing because they didn't care. They were just two lovely souls who were down on their luck, hard. From adding the robata grill for Sukie to express herself, and her love of cooking, in a way that still holds a Japanese flair, to Gordon renting them both a beautiful place to live for a half a year out of his own pocket just so they could be happier, and have a healthier marriage and life. This is what makes television, and people, great. God bless.

The problem with so many restaurants and hotels are the owners who are severely deluded as to their fortunes and why their businesses are struggling. The owners here absolutely needed help. Suki was open with how she had no formal training as a chef. They lost their house and almost everything because of the horrific car accident. They were humble and knew they were in bad times, and Gordon knew they would be the most appreciative of a fresh start

Most of the episodes are awful people who care little, give attitude or just dont have any pride in themselves to earn Gordon's respect.
