They should have 1) planned better and 2) been more clear with Global players regarding the details. Too be honest, they can't really seem to win: global players complain about being behind or they complain about the way the sync is being handled (which has been very poor I fully agree).

Imagine if they didn’t tell us last year, do absolutely nothing, then announce the sync with THIS Dokkan Now and say “Hey the sync will be this August, despite global not having every unit, we want the games to have simultaneous releases and will work on adding the missing characters soon.” Announcing the sync a year earlier to do nothing is not better, it’s worse.

Yeah, what I think happened is that the team at Akatsuki is on board and is trying to make the Sync happen like what Koto was trying to do, but then you have the higher ups who don't want to potentially lose money. Remember, if they were to do like a big combined catch up banner for 9th Year like Koto was probably leaning on they'd lose out on money from all of those celebrations. I think the team is fully on board which is why if you notice Global, has been getting JP Assets earlier than usual. We're not far behind in terms of Data and content, but the Dev team is trying to move the Content Schedule forward and the people at the Top refuse to move the actual Banners forward. I think that might explain why we got most of the Toppo Celebration early. The content is being moved forward, but the Banners are being pushed back which means that technically speaking Global is actually ahead of schedule content wise. It's most likely the higher ups who are cockblocking the Banners being synced up. If you notice, they've been dropping the side banner units alongside JP but it's no coincidence that the Main Banners are behind. Toppo's celebration got gutted, because the Gotenks EZA and SEZA were always supposed to drop in that time frame but the banners schedule didn't get moved forward. So Frieza should've dropped earlier, but they didn't change the Banner schedule like they did the Content. This also explains why AGL Trunks as the side banner unit for JP's Rose dropped with Frieza as well. He was likely designed with Rose, but for whatever reason the higher ups withheld him from the banner on purpose. Likely, so they'd be able to drop him on JP first to raise the hype for their version of the Celebration. Which is in itself, a symptom of them not moving the fucking Banners schedule forward to compensate for them moving the Content forward. Occasionally, we get a bone thrown at us but I'm 99% sure that Red Zone Kid Buu and Babidi's Forces were designed with units like Beast Gohan and LR Full Power Broly in mind. Hell, Vegeta was practically made for Blue Zone. That's why on JP he seemed pretty cool, but on Global he was wildly overpowered compared to what was on there at the time. He was a JP Meta card that just happened to drop on Global at the same time. Leading to him falling off because there's nothing that can really use his full potential right now. Until Blue Zone drops.

Have their releases on global coincide with their returns on JP banners and throw in all the associated celebration stuff at the same time as the celebrations of those new units. I do think the actual “international exclusive” new step up they announced is good, but it’s not what everyone expected. And the sync news just muddied the excitement of the Dokkan NOW. For me this makes the sync a poorly done announcement. They should’ve announced it when we’re actually ready to sync both versions like 1 month in advance instead of a year. It just made a lot global players have expectations of a drastic schedule change when in reality they were going by global’s regular schedule.

So what they told us by not telling us is that they Have NO Plan for the banners we will be missing and we will proceed like normal until the start of the synchro. From then on When a banner drops for JP it will also drop for global. They also did NOT Say that we will have the same events come out just that the Banners will release at the same time. My theory is that for global when a new event starts we will get the new unit(s) together then a part 2 Lr drops for both then in the middle of the Lr banner after the first banner goes away they will run an old Jp exclusive banner while the part 2 lr banner is also running to “catch up” so that the “catch up” banner and part 2 Lr banner ends on the same day and a new/next event/celebration takes place.

Pretty easy to tell that there was disagreements on how to sync with some wanting it more rapid. Now it seems like theyve decided internally they have to do 'something' so they are just ripping the baindaid in august even though they could have just done this same thing last august. My guess is some higherup is now being forced to finally make the big decisions and give the go aheads and they need a couple weeks to iron that out hence "more details in 9th anniversary". That is usually how big companies work, people have opinions and execs fighting over how to steer the boat but now it's finally coming to a head. Really them announcing it last year put them on a timer that is now finally coming to fruition.

To all the people who think announce the sync during last year WWC wasn't a mistake but the way they handle thing were, what do you think they plan out first, the communication with player, then the sync plan, or the opposite? They messed up fr. Global version has always had major problems, celebrations being split (tanabata where omega was released a lot later or the movie red zone 2) or released even if incomplete (global first goku black). The only way they could have managed the sync would have been releasing content more rapidly, steadfast in less parts instead of giving small pieces spread throughout an excessively long period. They could have anticipated ezas/roads/red zones in order to cut monthly events (so minor celebrations) by a week or two. Consequently they would have kept the banners up but start releasing the content of the next event during the last week of the previous (which generally is a dead week with no content by the way), as if during the latter period of 1st form frieza they would have begun with toppo content already

So the only thing that came from this "sync" is missing ~150 stones and a massive amount of battlefield currency. I still don't understand why they couldn't have simply shortened each battlefield. Nobody needs a whole week to do the weekly missions anyway. Regardless, this is exactly what I expected. I'm not very upset, but I do hope we see Teq UI prior to 2025.

The sad part is that the sync could have been finished by now if they had just slightly accelerated things on Global. If every monthly dokkan release had been three weeks long instead of four weeks long, we could be basically caught up by now. Instead, we've just been strung along for months now, and everytime they have said they have more info about the sync, its just been "the sync is coming and we will have more info in the future." The mishandling of this is legitimately killing my interest in the game.

Doing the math, the step-ups are 255 stones for 7 multis, one of which is free and one of which has a guaranteed featured. Sync info went from just a season (summer) to an actual month, but puts 5+ units in limbo, or worse, being unfeatured on their debut banners, mainly CM, plus a few EZA Battles, such as the Special Pose EZA and 17 & Team Universe 7. I'm pretty sure that these missing units won't be added until JP gets them as secondary units on a banner, i.e. their first returns on a banner. My expectations were low, but holy fuck.

​@@blakzuDokkan's two versions, International & Japanese, which are shortened to JP & GLB (Global), are about 6 months apart in terms of age, which leads to a content disparity between what JP gets versus what GLB gets, such as JP being in the middle of one of their bigger celebrations, a holiday called Tanabata, while GLB is doing countdown for Anniversary. People have been wanting this gap shortened for years, but the dev team has never done so, until now, where they're not handling it well.

Gonna play devils advocate here (as someone who would have really preferred them just say nothing at all last year, than to say its coming and then do so little) I don't think they've done "Nothing". I think they've been doing a good job providing us with content paired with new releases. I.E. The Super-EZA's I feel like giving them to us early is showing that at least its more possible now to just release the new units being that the substantial side content we are waiting on. For a more direct example, the Teq Gotenks, and LR Ginyu both being rather hefty amounts of content for Toppos release, no longer being tied to Toppo frees the toppo to be released in a very short window. As in, we could (Let me repeat that, COULD, I'm not saying its likely, just saying its more possible now than before) get the Toppo, LR UI and Cell Max all in one celebration now that there is less content required to make that release happen. Sedondly, the nothing speak definitely had a purpose. Its just letting players know they are aware of that concern. If they did not make that statement, there would be thousands of posts asking "What about this unit, what about that unit, have you forgotten?" Its just acknowledging the concern.
