Blud has -No ki on entry -ZERO sustained damage cut penetration -Has next to no measures to having his combo interrupted by stuff like card destruction or cost increases (only thing he has going for him in that department is cover null on green and I’d argue that even that isn’t very useful considering the amount of counter mechanics in this meta rn) And worst of all, he just doesn’t have the stats to even catch up to modern day units. Unfortunately, the goat just isn’t the earthshaker that he once was 💀

No ki on entry, mid ki recovery, gauge takes too long to gain ki for him in the middle of combos, as well as his drawing of the blue card only doesn’t give him any combo potential. His CDS is meh. He has no cut pen. His cover null is unreliable, etc. he just needs a zenkai

To me still now destroying cards is one of the best abilities in the game. Especially against those green cards spammers or double ult holders. Draw speed is a sort of counter but still, destroying what you have destroys the potentially ko combo

USG's ultimate is notoriously weak because it lacks any cut penetration. Even back then it didn't do nearly as much damage as you would think.

It was definitely an attempt at "balancing" the higher damage inflicted the older Ultras had (Kaioken Goku had the same issue). Which is all the more reason why USV being the first to have cut penetration made him feel that much more powerful.

I’ve been waiting for this revisit. He still performs decently well. His gauge is still busted. Just drawing blue cards infinity and smacking your opponent with them so they have no cards is wild. Still my only summonable ultra I have at 8 stars. If this man gets a plat I would be very happy.

I dont think so this fusion is the best Ultra unit, if its not Ultra SSJG4 that might come on December. I bet all my CC for Ultra MUI the one in Anime where Goku's has a second voice sort of, and his foot has a ring like galaxy on it and when Jiren respond throw his blue card here in legends. MUI Goku simply step his right foot forward a litter bit after that, he teleported Jiren's back hold that ball of energy and disappeared in thin air like it was nothing. Thats the version of Ultra MUI Goku I'm expecting to see, fully coated with white glow aura in legend's anytime soon not the shirtless one.

It would have killed if Gogeta's ultimate had sustained damage cut penetration, but it doesn't. Even older LFs had it (oftentimes -100%) on their ultimates and they would have easily killed Jiren in that situation. This is why USG's ult was weak even at the time he released
