I have to make this. I have made the Virus blanket several times, (baby blankets and 2 queen size bed covers) . Thought I was going to drive myself crazy the first time I tied this one but was determined to not let it get the best of me. At the time I hadn't been crocheting very long but after forced retirement due to health needed something to keep me busy so I basically taught myself with the help of the youtube videos. Thank you for sharing your wonderful patterns.

I've been looking for a pattern for my next blanket. I think I've found it! Thank you. It's going to be so pretty in the deep green, eggplant, and pale plum colors I've been wanting to use. Tiny suggestion for the channel tutorials: Could these tutorial videos be timestamped for the beginning of each row? It would sure be helpful for me, and I'm pretty sure many others, if we could have clickable links to the beginning of each row in the repeat/project for quick referrence while getting the hang of it. Thanks for your consideration. And thank you again for so many wonderful and unique designs! Your production quality is always top notch and your demonstrations so easy and clear. ✨ I'm considering trying this pattern as a shawl using the fingering weight cotton gradient yarns I get as mill ends from Herrschner's. I get duplicates, it's a lot of yardage, and I love the light summer/spring shawls made from it. Having a different pattern to use for duplicate colors would be very nice.

I have just completed the square blanket and absolutely loved doing it, it just flows after you’ve done one section and I even managed to put a boarder on it with your help by tweaking a tutorial you do for a similar blanket. I was thinking of starting granny square blanket next but when you showed how lovely it was with thinner yarn I’ll be doing it as a baby blanket. Thank you so much. Bye 💁🏼‍♀️❤

I used red heart ombré for the tutorial and Caron one pound yarn for the finished blanket in the beginning of the video. I didn’t care for that one as much. It gets very fuzzy very quickly. I used just about 1600 yards for the 38x48” size.

What is the purpose of using two strands to make the starting chain?
@JonnaMartinezCrochet
@JonnaMartinezCrochet 4 ай бұрын
Great question! I’m super surprised I didn’t get more of this one. Because the puff stitches are so thick we need a big base for them to sit. Otherwise they will stack up on themselves and it would be really difficult to get them to sit flat. I had two choices, make the chain itself thicker to accommodate them or make a chain longer then skip chains between the puffs. I chose the thicker chain because as an additional use it would be a stronger construction at the center of the blanket. Thank you for watching and commenting!

The ombre is Red Heart super saver ombré in anemone color way. As a side note premier yarn now has a worsted weight ombre yarn that is a better price and from the looks of it almost EXACTLY the same as Red Heart. But I haven’t tried it yet.
@jacintavattuone4442
@jacintavattuone4442 4 ай бұрын
🧡 Hi! 🧡 Jonna, I've seen a couple of reviews on the new Premier ombre. They've been favorable but my issue is that the colors are not as saturated as the RHSS ombre, & the lightest color works up much bigger than the rest of the skein. In other words, it seems that the colors are not distributed as evenly as the RHSS. Personally, I prefer a more even flow between the colors not a big swath of one color before an abrupt change to the next. But I may give it a try if I find a pattern that might work with that. Thanks for this tutorial. I've already got a project in mind. If I can finish the 3 WIPs I'm already working on, that is. 😂😂😂
