The Mark V is the pinnacle of what Lincoln was all about. No Lincoln since has epitomized the purpose of the brand as well as the Mark V, the absolute best looking Continental that ever rolled off the line.

I have a Mark V that is Dove Grey in color. Been driving her for 23 years (I got her in '99) and she has saved my life more than once. She's a great car; her name is Elizabeth.

I just got a 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V justva few months ago. It has always been my lifelong dream car. I finally own one now! Black with red pinstripes. I call mine Black Beauty. This was the most beautiful car ever made! 😊

My regards! It would be very interesting to watch a video from you and hear a detailed story about 23 years of experience in operating this car! ♥

I have one as well in Dove Grey...the Cartier Designer Series car from 1977. My favorite car in the world.

Consider this, the Mark V is several inches longer and several hundred pounds heavier than the later Lincoln TowN Car, based off the panther platform which was derived from the Mark V chassis.
@owlnswan401611 ай бұрын
The Panther platform was not derived from the Mark V.
I own this same car w 36k miles.. after auction fees that was a great buy!!!

A car like that was on the "Dallas" tv show

That's right , it's the same kind of car Jock Ewing drove on that series . In fact , they have the exact Lincoln that he drove in " Dallas " on display at Southfork Ranch for the tourists to see . I went up there and saw it myself .

$11500 wow sure seems strong for an 78 Lincoln, how ever, if it doesn't need a ton of work, maybe not such a bad deal. You could pay a lot less for one, but if it needs a ton of repairs, you will be in to it for a lot more than $11500. The amount paid is not life changing money, plus if the buyer wanted it, than good on them for stepping up to the plate. A person should get what they want. It doesn't happen all that much . Hope everyone was happy

$11500 is still half of what it was worth new.

How much does it cost to be put on the list for the replacement of Human body parts? After working for numerous auto repair shops and in the towing industry, the wrecker drivers who had to go out on calls for police rotations would tell stories of the most horrific crashes that involved loss of limbs at the very least... and the dismembered bodies of crash accident victims! My big brother picked out this car for me, telling my Mom that "no matter how badly other motorists operate their vehicles, Lisa will NOT be injured!" Yeah, my Mom and Big Brother bought this car for me so that I would not suffer. I wouldn't trade this car for a new Lincoln!! Pieces of crap all new cars are! Made with cheap aluminum... that says Pepsi, Sprite, and Budweiser on the inside of the fenders! I tell people that if Elizabeth got pregnant, she would give birth to 3 Toyotas!!🤣

A towing assembly cannot be installed on this vehicle; I know, because I tried to have one attached to the frame by a shop that specializes in installing towing packages.
