I hope this father and son don't get into a fight..been watching Gentaro ❤ from the other zoo. Poor gorgeous boy has a bad cut right on his forehead, getting into a skirmish with his father.

Handsome Momotaro stopped playing with Gentaro when he was 5. Shabani still plays with his teenage son Kiyomasa. Both boys need to be moved to a bachelor group before someone gets seriously injured when they challenge their fathers!

Ive been a fan for awhile, so why kiyo is still in this troop i will never understand, just be glad that he and shabani are kind spirited. I've seen multiple times these two get far beyond playing, and eventually when kiyo is older he will become more dominant and sexual and these two will be at it day and night. Not a good idea

@@BlackandProud350 not a kiyo hater, actually love gorillas favorite animal on the planet and know everything about them, putting two silver backs together with females, only sometimes works, if there's enough females around. These animals are very kind and avoid conflict but its never 0.

@@BlackandProud350 if they would add more females there wouldn't be a problem, the fact is, these are very good spirited animals by nature, but the males tend to be hit or miss more so, especially silverbacks with little to no stimuli and boredom as well as no wives, all of which is present here. This japenese enclosure is not good for them, lacks anything they want or need other than some toys and food.

@@BlackandProud350 i say separate them bc I love this entire family and I don't want to see kiyo become sad and depressed, he will without his own troop to lead. Kiyo is very much like shabani, he needs his own troop to lead. Not saying he's a bad gorilla very much the opposite, if it's not shabani it's kiyo who steals the light of the show. He would just come more out of his shell if he was at the helm of a troop, he cannot with shabani

Me too! I can't work out if they're happy or not as there seems to be a lot of boredom and tiredness. I certainly don't think the silver back is at a correct level of weight though as he looks skinny in comparison to his fellows in the jungle. The noise in the background too must drive them insane 😳

They have feelings and emotions and there moments like anyone else right they make good parents and grandparents and uncles and aunties and stepparents and brothers and sisters they are very smart and intelligent animals always learning something new each day from the gorillas they make better parents and friends than most people out much love and respect to the gorillas instead glad to see them eating well and enjoying their meals have excellent body posture very impressed way to go appreciate you guys thanks please keep the vidoes coming appreciate you guys !!!! Poor Kiyomasa😓♥️, did the zoo even give him anything for his birthday? They didn’t give Shabani anything so I don’t think this time it would be any different. They eat the same unnatural meal every day so I was hoping that they got something new.

Here you are again! The zoo decided to give them their treat inside not in public specially to Shabani because the public gets crazy making a lot of noise. Signing Happy Birthday etc etc and Shabani didn’t like at all . Shabani is a very sensitive gorilla unlike his brother so before you post since you are seeing just a small portion of their time research and look at their old videos and you can see Shabani with his cake trying to run away for the noise!

@ , first i don’t appreciate you call me a liar since I got my facts from the head keeper since I was there to see the troop in may for 3 days and since I am foreign they talked with me a lot even I got to the videographer for Japanese zoo and he even gave me a little picture. The keeper talked about food, different rooms, the personalities of the gorillas and he told me that Shabani is a very sensitive gorilla , don’t like much noise with people calling his name that is why he kicks the mirror along the video audience, in the old place he tried to throw a log at people etc etc . One of his birthday he had a cake “ blue ‘ one but the people was so noise that he tried to run and the cake fell from his hand. All this you can assess the videos like “ Shabani with cake , Shabani throwing a log at the audience , the head keeper saying to a reporter how sensitive Shabani is etc etc so research before you attack because I can prove everything I said and if this site allowed pictures I could post my picture talking with the head keeper.

Shabani is still worried about Nene,, he loves his family ❤❤ Do y’all remember Koko the talking gorilla 🦍 (I know there’s a lot of debating on that but that’s not what I’m thinking about),!! My only thing is WHY are humans always trying to get animals to do human behavior’s ?? If it was up to me I would have been trying to understand the Gorilla’s behavior, and politics. You know learning all about them, not them learning about us.
