lol, ya we should not attribute human feelings to these animals. We should see behaviors that so closely model human jealousy that it is indiscernible but we should call it some other word. And I guess we need some other word for the jealousy that dogs feel and display too. lol.

I think gorillas have an array of emotions. We’ve seen them show anger and love, fear and yes, jealousy. That’s not humanizing them but shows that those feelings we call emotions, can also be felt by gorillas, right? It’s true that they don’t discern them on the same level of insight like humans, but in this case Tayari was jealous of Iriki.
