Even at noon, Kintaro was playing with Gentaro, so Genki rested by herself for a while. After Kintaro got tired of playing and came close to Genki, the two of them took a short nap together. Recently, Genki has had very little trouble with Gentaro. It has decreased considerably. Something must have changed in Gentaro. Today, too, Gentaro did not bother Ginki. @Genki has a lot of cavities, but not all of them can be pulled out. If we do, she will not be able to chew food with her own teeth. 日本語。 2023年5月31日　モモタロウ家族の日記。 湿っぽい天気でしたが、昨日の雨と比べるとゴリラ達にとって過ごしやすい日でした。 地面はまだ濡れていたので、ゴリラ達は鉄筋上で過ごすことが多かったです。 今日のポイントは、モモタロウとゲンタロウの触れ合いがあったことです。モモタロウが息子ゲンタロウを優しく触っていました。 短い時間でしたが、2人が穏やかな時間をそばで一緒に過ごしていました。 ★父親モモタロウ： 外に出てすぐの朝食時間は、いつものように、ゲンタロウやキンタロウに、自分の餌を取られないようにと警戒モードでした。毎朝のことですが、モモタロウは息子達に怒るそぶりを見せていました。 息子達は知ってるので、モモタロウが近づいてきたら、特に気にせず逃げてました。 お昼前に、モモタロウはゲンタロウが休憩してる場所へ立ち寄り、ゲンタロウの体を触っていました。喧嘩でも起こるのかと！心配しましたが、そんなことはなく、父と息子の平和な時間が流れていました。 @ モモタロウは上野動物園で生まれました。 生まれてから、接したことがあるのゴリラは、母親のモモコと千葉動物園にいるローラだけです。オスゴリラと遊んだことがないモモタロウは息子達への接し方を学びつつ、良きパパに近づいています。 ★母親ゲンキ （固定コメント。ゲンキの悪い歯は抜かれていますが、それでもまだ虫歯は残っています。彼女が若い頃に国産の果物や野菜を過剰に与えられたからです。人間用に改良された果物や野菜は糖分が高すぎるので、ゴリラはたくさん食べるべきではありません。すぐに虫歯になります） 朝からいつもの通り、地面にある餌を中心に拾って食べてました。 お昼になっても、キンタロウはゲンタロウと遊んでいたので、しばらくはゲンキは独りで休憩していました。 遊び疲れたキンタロウがゲンキのそばへ寄ってきてからは、2人で少し昼寝をしていました。 最近のゲンキは、ゲンタロウとのいざこざがほとんどないです。かなり減りました。 ゲンタロウに何か変化があったのでしょう。 今日も、ゲンタロウからゲンキへちょっかいを出すこともなかったです。 ＠ゲンキはたくさんの虫歯を持っていますが、全てを抜くことはできません。それをすると、自分の歯で食べ物を噛めなくなります。他の動物園で飼育されている高齢のゴリラで歯が虫歯でゲンキと同じ状態の場合、動物園の飼育員らは食べ物を蒸したりして彼らが食べやすくしているそうです。京都市動物園はまだそれをしていません。ゲンキにはまだ食べ物を噛める歯が残っているからです。他の動物園の高齢のゴリラは歯がほぼありませんから、普通の食べ物はもう食べれません。 無理に蒸した食べ物を与えることは、食べる楽しみを失うことを意味します。 ★長男ゲンタロウ (固定コメント：ゲンタロウは赤ちゃんの時に指しゃぶりの癖がつき、今も続いている。未来のことは誰にもわからないです。） ゲンタロウは朝食を食べ終わると、弟キンタロウと遊び始めました。 昨日はあまり遊んでいたなかったせいなのか、今日は一日中、キンタロウと遊んでいた印象があります。 ゲンタロウは、父親モモタロウとの触れ合いがあった今日のことを忘れないでしょう。 キンタロウに対してのちょっかいもありませんでした。遊びの中でキンタロウがこけることはあっても、意図的にゲンタロウがキンタロウを怒らすようなことはありませんでした。 最近は、ゲンタロウがキンタロウを怒らすことはないです。 ＠ゲンタロウは今年の12月に12歳になります。父親のモモタロウは11歳の頃には大人の体になっていました。それは、モモタロウの周りにオスゴリラがいなかったからです。モモタロウは本能的なホルモンの影響を受けて一気に大きくなりました。 オスゴリラは13歳でようやく大人のゴリラになれるとも言われております。だとすれば、ゲンタロウをすぐに家族から引き離すべきかどうかは、また別の問題です。彼が彼の家族との関係性が変わってくれば、必然的に京都市動物園は、彼を家族の元から離すようにするでしょう。 ★次男：キンタロウ 朝からゲンタロウとたくさん遊んでいました。 お昼時は、母親ゲンキと少しお昼寝してましたが、お昼ご飯の時間が来ると、すぐにまたゲンタロウと遊び始めました。 室内へ戻る時間までずっとゲンタロウと遊んでいた印象があります。 キンタロウがゲンタロウの頭を優しくなでていたのがとても愛おしいシーンでした。 ゲンタロウの表情をみてもすごくリラックスしていました。 上記は全て、個人的見解による内容です。 モモタロウ家族の歴史を学ぼう！ sites.google.com/view/gorillalife/

Thanks for the description. Can you talk more about the domestic fruit that rots their teeth. Other countries have list of healthy replacements. Western lowland gorillas natural diet is mostly fruit in the wild but that could be berries and other fruit not dripping in sugar. Just like certain vegetation natural to Japan is not good for their digestion, I’m sure some fruits are poor substitutes for the ones they would eat natively.

Gentaro was his first born, as Momotaro didn't have his father around it was worrying to see how he would react. After Genki couldn't feed him & Gentaro had to be hand raised by a human it was even more worrying how he could possibly fit back in with his family. No one need have worried, Genki was over the moon to have her boy back & Momotaro was fascinated by him, they became even closer as Genki became pregnant, my favourite film is of Momotaro & Gentaro hugging when they first hear Kintaro's cry. Momotaro has been a gentle father to Kintaro & Genki has at times forgotten her first born but his dad adores him, it's a mutual respect. Gentaro has been the best brother Kintaro could have had, maybe sometimes he get too excited when playing but he's carried him everywhere, taught him everything, shown great kindness & tenderness & tries his best to protect him when dad sometimes gets mad at them. Gentaro learnt all that from his awesome parents & he too will be an awesome daddy one day. ❤️

Was für ein schönes Video das ist richtig Herz erwärmend den schönen Silverback Momotaro und seinen großen Jungen Gentaro die beiden so zu sehen nur schön. Dann natürlich mein kleiner süßer Schatz Kintaro wenn ich das süße Gesicht von ihm sehen wenn er aufrecht geht mit seinem Ball. Er ist und bleibt für mich der süßeste kleine Gorilla den es gibt ich liebe diesen kleinen Schatz .Und ich hoffe das es Genti gut geht das die Wunde heilt.Jede Tag freue ich mich auf ein Video von der wunderbare Familie Momotaro.

31. Mai 2023 Tagebuch der Familie Momotaro. / Das Wetter war feucht, aber im Vergleich zum gestrigen Regen war es ein angenehmer Tag für die Gorillas. Der Boden war immer noch nass, so dass die Gorillas die meiste Zeit auf der Stange verbrachten. Der wichtigste Punkt heute war, dass Momotaro und Gentaro miteinander interagieren konnten. Momotaro berührte seinen Sohn Gentaro sanft. Es war nur eine kurze Zeit, aber die beiden verbrachten eine friedliche Zeit zusammen an ihrer Seite. ★Vater Momotaro: Wie immer war er während des Frühstücks, gleich nachdem er nach draußen gegangen war, in Alarmbereitschaft und versuchte, sich sein Essen nicht von Gentaro und Kintaro wegnehmen zu lassen. Wie jeden Morgen machte Momotaro wütende Gesten gegenüber seinen Söhnen. Seine Söhne wussten das, und als Momotaro sich ihnen näherte, kümmerten sie sich nicht besonders darum und rannten weg. Vor dem Mittag kam Momotaro an dem Ort vorbei, an dem Gentaro ruhte, und berührte Gentaros Körper. Ich fragte mich, ob ein Kampf ausbrechen würde! Ich war besorgt, aber es passierte nicht und es herrschte Frieden zwischen Vater und Sohn. @ Momotaro wurde im Ueno-Zoo geboren. Seit seiner Geburt sind die einzigen Gorillas, mit denen er in Kontakt gekommen ist, seine Mutter Momoko und Lola aus dem Chiba-Zoo. Momotaro, der noch nie mit einem männlichen Gorilla gespielt hat, lernt, wie er seine Söhne behandeln muss, und ist auf dem besten Weg, ein guter Vater zu werden. ★Mutter Genki (Behobener Kommentar. Die meisten von Genkis Kieferzähnen sind gezogen worden und ihre Vorderzähne haben viele Löcher. Als sie jung war, hat sie zu viel heimisches Obst und Gemüse bekommen. Heimisches Obst und Gemüse ist sehr zuckerhaltig. Ein Gorilla bekommt leicht Karies. Zu viel Obst und Gemüse ist nicht gut für den Zustand der Zähne eines Gorillas. ) Wie immer hat sie morgens das meiste Futter auf dem Boden aufgesammelt und gegessen. Sogar am Mittag spielte Kintaro mit Gentaro, so dass Genki sich eine Zeit lang alleine ausruhte. Nachdem Kintaro vom Spielen müde wurde und sich Genki näherte, machten die beiden zusammen ein kurzes Nickerchen. In letzter Zeit hatte Genki nur noch wenig Probleme mit Gentaro. Es hat erheblich abgenommen. Irgendetwas muss sich in Gentaro verändert haben. Auch heute hat Gentaro Ginki nicht belästigt. @Genki hat viele Kavitäten, aber nicht alle können gezogen werden. Wenn wir das tun, kann sie nicht mehr mit ihren eigenen Zähnen Nahrung kauen. Bei älteren Gorillas in anderen Zoos, deren Zähne Karies haben und sich in demselben Zustand wie die von Genki befinden, dampfen die Tierpfleger das Futter, damit sie es leichter fressen können. Der Kyoto City Zoo hat dies noch nicht getan. Der Grund dafür ist, dass Genki noch Zähne hat, mit denen er das Futter kauen kann. Ältere Gorillas in anderen Zoos haben fast keine Zähne mehr, so dass sie keine normale Nahrung mehr zu sich nehmen können. Wenn man sie zwingt, gedünstetes Futter zu essen, verlieren sie die Freude am Essen. ★Gentaro, der älteste Sohn (Fester Kommentar: Gentaro entwickelte die Angewohnheit, an den Fingern zu lutschen, als er ein Baby war, und das ist bis heute so geblieben. Wer kann schon etwas über die Zukunft sagen.) Nachdem Gentaro sein Frühstück beendet hatte, begann er mit seinem kleinen Bruder Kintaro zu spielen. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass er gestern nicht viel gespielt hat, aber ich habe den Eindruck, dass er heute den ganzen Tag mit Kintaro gespielt hat. Gentaro wird die heutige Interaktion mit seinem Vater Momotaro nie vergessen. Es wurde nicht an Kintaro geknabbert. Es gab Zeiten, in denen Kintaro während des Spiels stolperte, aber es gab nie eine Zeit, in der Gentaro Kintaro absichtlich verärgert hätte. Heutzutage macht Gentaro Kintaro nie wütend. @Gentaro wird diesen Dezember 12 Jahre alt. Sein Vater Momotaro war schon erwachsen, als er 11 Jahre alt war. Das liegt daran, dass es in Momotaros Umgebung keine männlichen Gorillas gab. Momotaro wuchs unter dem Einfluss der Triebhormone schnell heran. Es heißt, dass männliche Gorillas erst mit 13 Jahren erwachsen werden können. Wenn das stimmt, ist es eine andere Frage, ob Gentaro sofort von seiner Familie getrennt werden sollte. Wenn sich seine Beziehung zu seiner Familie ändert, wird der Zoo der Stadt Kyoto unweigerlich versuchen, ihn von ihr fernzuhalten. ★ Zweiter Sohn: Kintaro Er hat morgens viel mit Gentaro gespielt. Zur Mittagszeit machte er ein kleines Nickerchen mit seiner Mutter Genki, aber sobald die Mittagszeit kam, begann er wieder mit Gentaro zu spielen. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass er die ganze Zeit mit Gentaro gespielt hat, bis es Zeit war, wieder ins Haus zu gehen. Kintaro hat Gentaros Kopf sanft gestreichelt, was eine sehr liebenswerte Szene war. 예전에 모모타로가 몸이 안 좋아서 겐타로와 킨타로가 걱정해서 같이 몸이 안 좋아졌었죠? 그 일은 동물원 사육사들도 깜짝 놀랐다고 한다. 특히 겐타로가 그렇게까지 영향을 받을 줄은 동물원 사육사들도 상상하지 못했다고 한다. 그 일을 계기로 겐타로우는 여전히 아빠 모모타로에게 의존도가 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그렇다고 해서 겐타로우를 가족으로부터 당장 떼어놓을 수는 없는 노릇이다. 최근 겐타로는 모모타로에게 조금 반항적인 태도를 보이기도 한다. 앞으로 겐타로가 모모타로와 싸우게 될까? 그 상황에 따라 겐타로의 미래가 결정될 것 같네요.

Kazu,it was so strange seeing all the food laying around and not being touched. They did coax Annie to drink out of a water bottle. It just goes to show how sensitive the troop members are to each other.

6:48 Momotaro wanted Gentaro to move, but he didn't so Momo settled down next to him. As stated in an earlier comment Momo seems to be taking a more gentler approach with Gentaro, and not being so impatient with his son. I think that Momo can sense Gentaro's frustration. There hasn't been fighting between father and son, which is 👍 great 😌.

@@detlefhunger5610 Der Abszess neben ihrer Nase soll aus einem Hohlraum entstanden sein. Wie im letzten Jahr wird sie eine Zeit lang Antibiotika erhalten. Ihre Rückenverletzung wird dadurch verursacht, dass sie sich nach der Heilung an der verletzten Stelle kratzt. Gorillas neigen dazu, krustig zu werden. Momotaros Kopf zum Beispiel ist mit Schorf bedeckt. Das kommt daher, dass sie sich mit ihren Nägeln am Kopf kratzt. Wenn er sich aber nicht am Kopf kratzen würde, würde die Wunde schnell heilen.

To me, it looks like it's cellulitis. If so, she urgently needs IV antibiotics & pain killers. Whatever it is, they should isolate her & provide proper medical treatment. Who knows if the keeper is a veterinarian or vet tech. And, not knowing if they're even trying to treat this Possible Infection is killing me! I worry about all of them. This zoo is under-funded an has way too many animals. Poor Genki 😢
