I was there! I was mindblown to finally see him! Totally unexpected. I have been a long-time Joy Division fan. So happy to see him having fun playing live.

Hooky is the absolute best,a pure and utter legend,but as much as I love the original of this,I prefer Peter Hook and The Lights version.
@jessica54973 жыл бұрын
I think its because you're more a fan of him than the Gorillaz, like That's why i prefer the original, because i love Damon's voice. But in the end, both are great.

Maybe Hooky can give Simon Gallup a call and give him some legal advice on how to deal with a former band?
@empireman10772 жыл бұрын
You must be joking 🤣🥊
@michaelwilson23402 жыл бұрын
@@empireman1077 Nope. According to Hook he was getting screwed out of his proper royalties by his former band mates. He fought them in court and won. Gallup may end up fighting Smith for his proper share. Old Post Punkers never die. They just get a good attorney.

@@michaelwilson2340 We don't know everything? Hook, probably did get a decent payment which he deserves on lost sirens tracks, he also bought the contents to the hacienda club, DJ, tours with The light + released a few live albums on The Light I met him doing a book signing and chat with fans in 2010. He seemed ok, about slagging off Bernard They both were alcoholics at some point A journalist told me that they were having ego issues on stage 😈🍾🥃🍷

@@empireman1077 Hook has said that the band shared songwriting duties up until Technique. Then Benard took over. So that left a question of who wrote what from Movement to Brotherhood. The band were known to pass around a notepad amongst each other in the studio and add lyrics to a song, making things a bit tricky. I still laugh when, years later, Benard denied ever hearing or singing vocals on the track Procession. According to Hooky of course.

@@michaelwilson2340hello, yeah, very interesting because. I know David Smith, from Macclesfield He used to write a fanzine called Paradise ( 89-96) We would spend hours writing down all the tracks New order were playing on their live sets I have never heard them play Procession, it may be on the early gigs, but it ain't on the dvd A collection.🤔 I have no idea why they forgot about this song I think Stephen Morris, wrote it?. It sounds a bit unprofessional in a way, but that was Bernard for you. I hope Gillian, writes a book sometime in the near future? I live in the South/UK 🍻
