In my head, The Now Now probably meant a lot to Damon. It was him merging the persona of 2D with himself. Bringing the moodiness from his most recent solo albums and the last Blur album to 2D, to the point it’s like 2D’s songwriter record. The album means the world to me too.

I think it's just when he's live he has a hard time playing guitar or bass while singing, which is fair enough. As far as the Bananaz doc tells me anyway. He had some songs in Blur with guitar and vocals, but it was very simple repetitive chords like tender
