So, I'm really curious about Murdoc's little time out shack and I see barely anyone talking about it and all the weird little details. The box he's sitting in is an Orgone accumulator which is some pseudoscience rubbish that you basically sit in and depending on where to look either is a form of therapy or increases libido. The door itself looks pretty manic, covered in (claw marks?) scratches and has a lot of writing all over it, including a really old fashion way to say 'no entry'. The post-it note on the door says 'Freud bacon and eggs' which is a phrase linked to propaganda. Inside, other than his uh- "photography collection" is more deep scratches and the phrase "Phantom tollbooth" with a tally of 12 under it This could all mean nothing at all but it was interesting to look at. The only thing I can confirm is Murdoc is a complete nutcase

@@blubberingbuffoons The Phantom Tollbooth! Dang that just took me back! I read that one as a kid. It's a pretty great story about a really bored kid that gets a purple plastic tollbooth out of nowhere and starts playing with it. He kind of ends up in an 'Alice in Wonderland' type world where the Kingdom of Words is at odds with the Kingdom of Numbers. Along the way are cities based on Illusions and Reality, a forest based on Sounds and Colors, Mountains based on Perspective and Fears, the 5 Senses and other similar themes. As well as a pair of Princesses to rescue from a floating Castle. And of course along the journey, the kid realizes that he had never really paid attention to the things around him in his life, and so learns to appreciate what he has. It's a pretty great little story!

my theory: in the song, 2-D repeatedly sings about how there was always someone he relied on (Everybody knows, when I was sad, I fell for you), but that person simply told him he wasn't actually feeling bad and it was all just in his head (You can borrow my days and tell me I'm not blue), and they only made him feel worse (Everywhere I go I don't know where I am, I'm stressin' out). I think this is about how 2-D keeps putting his trust into Murdoc, but he constantly manipulates him and now 2-D doesn't know who or what he should believe anymore. despite him relying on Murdoc, he keeps using 2-D and making him feel stress. also, in the game, he's shown eating the ghosts with the band member's faces on them, which could symbolize him getting fed up with all of them and not trusting anybody anymore. also, when he says "I'm stressing out", all the band member's faces begin to appear in his eyes, clearly showing that something about them is bothering him.
