you were explaining so well until minute seven. Can you explain why you are comparing it to greater than 180 and why you would subtract 360 what exactly is going on here and visually what do you mean by pitch

For anyone else who has this problem, I just figured out mine: I had my base idle animation set to additive mesh space. I made it non additive and now the character doesn't disappear

Do you have a tutorial about changing states? Like holding gun idle, running with gun, shooting, etc, etc... I know there is one about picking up items, but I mean a new idle state, not the holding sword with an open hand.

I currently don`t have a tutorial about chaging animation states depending on your equiped weapon. But that would be a cool video to make, I will note it down!!

I don't know if he made a tutorial, but I'm making a School project which has two modes. I created 3 State Machines and connected them via Blend nodes. One with Blend By Bool (to determine if the character is in combat mode or not) and a Blend by Int (the weapon mode is determined by an integer in my character). The Blend by Bool false pose is the normal movement, and the true pose is the Blend by bool. Pose 0 is the Crossbow and pose 1 is the Sword. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem. (For some reason it looked fine in the editor, but in the Standalone preview the whole character was vibrating). For me it was solved by changing the Additive settings in the anim sequences, by setting Base Pose Type to Selected animation frame

how 180 >= and -360 nodes works? nevertheless base aim rotation returns range -90~90.

How do you remove the jitter in the aim offset blendspaces. If you go slow and really look there is major jitter.

do a tutorial on how to keep to rotation when playing something like a fire or reload anim, cuz when i look up and fire it quickly plays the shoot anim which is set to looking forwards

Would I need one aim offset for each state of my character? Lets say, I can walk aiming a gun or disarmed, so do I need to have one for each state? hmm

Why is it when I edit one animation sequence it changes ALL of them. After I made his LookingUp one I noticed that every single animation sequence for that character was looking up 90 degrees

Hello and ty for the tutorial! Is it possible to use complete animations, and not just one frame, for each offset aim? I have animation assets for each aiming movement (up, down, upleft etc). All tutorials online show the use of just one frame for offset but that shows the upper body frozen while aiming. What happens when we have complete animated assets for each offset? Thank you!

Does anyone know what this problem might be?: when I put an animation on the aim offset blend space, it makes the preview disappear until i hit clear preview base pose. Also when my animations are all on the blend space together and I clear the preview pose again, my character has their arms out farther than normal and does a weird rotating movement instead of the animations i put on there. I don't know if I am missing a setting or something. I made each animation additive anim type mesh space and base pose type selected animation scaled. If anyone knows anything, I would appreciate the help! Great video though. Thanks!

I had a similar issue- when I added the aim offset animations to the blend space, the preview disappeared. The problem was I had accidently made my base pose animation only 1 frame. Once I undid that and remade the aim offset animations, it worked as expected.

my idle is not one frame and the up animation wont add to the blendspace only the down wich are both one frame i guess this is just another one of gorkas never ending tutorials that are unhelpful and dont explain anything@@TheStenger96

I'm stuck @ 5:12,. my AO is not letting me drag and drop my duplicates (Forward, Up, and Down) to where they should go. Yet they are right, and I set up the AO as shown. Any help is appreciated thanks.

My problem was the settings at 5:48. Doing this allowed me to place the duplicates, but it is not doing anything to the animation. Using UE4 mannequin inside UE5 btw.

hmm I have Unreal 5.1, when I delete frames it always keep 2 frames. I can't have only 1 frame. It looks ok first but after a while it looks like it put all idle animation between those 2 frames. And character jerking like crazy.. Last time I got all 2 frame poses still and working. Until I added multiplayer and all animations got messed up again..

Mine doesn't work, into the offset works fine, when i put into the anim bp he ignore the right arm. Edit: I found that i have to set into the locomotion not at the end, i have a blend with two animation set, unarmed and armed, i have to place right after the armed, or else it mess all the other animations.
