GORUCK Light

GORUCK Light is an introduction to the team-based training found in Special Operations. It is also much less grueling than our original event, the GORUCK Challenge. Your class will consist of up to 30 participants (aka members of your new GORUCK family). One Cadre, an experienced member of Special Operations, will teach leadership as your class overcomes adversity to become a team. (Team being a very important word. GORUCK Light is a team event, never a race).

Lol at this point I have now done multiple lights, Toughs and my first Heavy. A lot has changed over the last year!

Towards the end one of the participants says anyone can do this, there are 48 year old ladies doing this. I just signed up for my first GoRuck and I'm a 49 year old lady. She's gonna have to update that statement!

I wouldn't call it less grueling than a challenge, just less time and distance covered. You must prepare and train for this. It's not a 5k or a warrior dash. Train for this one. Bear crawls, squats, push ups, lunges, buddy carries, farmer carries, feet, grip, cardio, legs, core. you name it, it gets used.

Fireman27852 I did my first light this past Saturday and my friend who's been doing it for 5 years said it was basically a 6 hour tough. It was hard, but awesome.
