Danny had it right. Ctb 26 all the way. Maybe a bullet ruck if they added the same webbing as the cr2 with water bottle pockets. That would equal it. But man the ctb 26 and them outside quick access pockets r so badass​@Nomads.Nation

Love the podcast format! I’ve watched all 3 episodes start to finish. Also love that you’ve switched it up and brought on Danny Packs! Love his reviews. One suggestion, if you use a solid mic setup (like Bo does) for the audio, it really elevates the podcast. Since it’s mostly voices, talking, and banter, the audio of the voices are everything. Anyway, love what you’re doing. Love the hustle. Been following the Fyro bag from the jump, and will definitely be grabbing one!

My new CPL16 will be soon on its way, very excited to try it, as it is right in my alley for EDC (24 liters is way too much). Collabs are very frustrating while you live in Europe, sometimes there are a few pieces available for astronomic prices, sometimes it's not available at all, like the last mystery ranch carryolgy unicorn v2...

I was hesitant to spend the time watching this, but was glad that I did in the end. I was fully expecting Danny to pick the GR2 as his favorite bag, so when he picked the CTB26, it confirmed my decision to order one to give a try. I like my GR2 quite a bit, but the lack of water bottle holders, quick access pocket (on my 500D GR2), and a few other things make it a bit less ideal for travel use.

I can’t ever see myself buying a pack with e bright orange interior, so that eliminates a ton of colabs for me. However, the one colab I do own is the Aer x Ministry of Supply Lunar Pack. I didn’t know about it until I saw a vid from Danny.

Great podcast! I enjoyed seeing all three of you. 26L GR1 is my favorite bag. Evergoods makes a great bag, but it didn't fit me as well as the GR1. Colabs: For me, they are cool to see the designs, but I'm unlikely to buy any of them.

Goruck = marketing geniuses as much as anything else. Evergoods = inspired, over engineered, very analytical, functional and aesthetic. I like Goruck but Evergoods wins for me.

I have a bullet 15L and it's great for outdoor / dog days. Goruck is a great company and very focused on the military/ruck vibe which I kind of dig. @@Nomads.Nation

I understand not liking the webbing on the goruck bags that gives em the military look, personally I like em it's more utilitarian especially when you travel, it's one of the reason why the Jansport hatchet is one of my favorite bags. I hunted down a gr1 slick and love but do wish it had the webbing least on the sides.

On the mouse front, I was really entertained by the Magic Mouse discussion. I've been looking for a new, more compact (ie: flatter so it fits in my bag better), travel mouse and have been trying out a few options before I leave on my next trip. I've been using a Razor Atheris for quite a while now and while the usability is quite good, it's relatively thick and doesn't pack all that well. So I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga N700 mouse (this is the one that rotates in the middle so that it stores flat), a Microsoft Arc mouse, and an Apple Magic Mouse 2. I had to jump through a few hoops to get Windows 10 drivers for the Magic Mouse in order to get the scroll functionality to work, but out of the 3, it is hands down the best option. It just feels the best in my hands, the scroll wheel works a lot better than the other 2, and the left/right buttons feel like they're much higher quality. It's not going to replace my full-size SteelSeries mouse when I'm home or at the office, but it looks like it IS going to be my go-to travel mouse. The only negative is that it uses a Lightning connector for charging rather than USB C.

edc- Evergoods CTB26 Phoenix 2 travel- Goruck GR2 Heritage 34L Wishlist: Evergoods x Griffin CTB32-35L (without hip belt, side grab handles on both sides, water bottle pockets to be the same waxed canvass as the rest of the bag instead of the stretchy mesh, top grab handle to sit a little higher with more padding similar to the ones on gorucks) *also I don't carry two laptops and I certainly would never put a hydration bladder with my laptop, therefore since the laptop compartment takes some volume away from the main compartment maybe expand the actual main compartment making the laptop compartment a little slimmer with some sort of fleece lining would be amazing. Small pockets would be a nice addition like the ones on the able carry max to store ssd's and other peripherals.

@@manueldelgado5336 I went to the shop in my area to view the 26 and 35. After comparing both bags side by side, the 26 is a better option as the carry on allowance is much tighter here in the South East Asia region and also the 35l looks bulkier.

I like evergoods for their versatility in their line up. The MPL is underrated. Goruck is cool, but too military looking for me. But it could survive a lifetime of use.

For me what I don’t like about the collab/drop culture is how it taps into the “fear of missing out” and “gear acquisition syndrome”. Two sides of the same coin. And maybe that’s just my own psychological problem I have to deal with, that’s fine, but I bet lots of other people feel similarly.

Based on what I own, below is my ranking considering I am 165cm, 68kg, working in an office environment, and loving hybrid modular and in-situ organisation. 1. Evergoods Phoenix 2 (collab of CTB26); 2. Evergoods Phoenix (collab of CPL24); 3. Goruck GR1 21L (and like Bo, I only have the 1000D cordura nylon which is way tougher than my skin) 🤟🏻💪🏼

How's the fit of the CTB 26? Asking as a guy with a smaller frame.

@@bluekhaki5818 if ‘fit’ means how comfortable to carry for a smaller guy, the answer is yes. If it is really a 26-L bag the answer is a (good) no as I feel it is more of a 28-L bag due to the 2 water bottle sleeve outside is giving me extra capacity. I can put two CAP1 in the sleeves making it an extra 2-L without compromising internal organization.
