Your teaching is very helpful. I have been playing guitar for years with no training or lessons. Begged my mom to buy me one when I was a kid, and when she did I learned to pay by ear. I do not know or understand the music language or the number system, but I plan on following you and hopefully I can be a better guitarist.

Guess what brother Kevin Wilson, first I would like to say, that you one of my favorite gospel artists, and I have been all across this country! As a first time signing up and a new watcher of your channel! Guess what? I learned how to play, as a lead singer, within our group, once our original bass player, left us, on the road, and I had to learn, while being Left handed, on a right handed bass! Over 12- songs and having never learned the notes, or knowing the songs! After beginning, I never learned the right way,so I have wrote songs, and played backwards all my life! I am new to your channel, and you make learning the number system somewhat easy. However, I did not get a clear understanding on the 2 of A and the 2 of G? Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift and knowledge!

Welcome to the channel! I'm glad to hear that the number system is becoming clearer for you. The '2' in A or G refers to the second note in the scale. For A, the 2 is B, and for G, the 2 is A.
