I don't know HOW yall stayed composed during that song. I would have shouted by the second verse. You guys are so golden. I don't know any of you but I feel like I too have lost someone special to me just by viewing her songs and interviews. The passion all of you have is something I've never witnessed in my lifetime and I grew up in the choir since age 8. She was so powerful beyond her years and was very serious about serving God.

There is only one Lecresia! Her beautiful tones and phrasing were phenomenally anointed from God. Again, this is another GREAT song written by Sis. Carol Antrom. Carol is the lady directing the song. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her in person. My former church, where I was the Chief Musician and band leader, fellowship led with Carol’s church. Carol’s composing is SO deeply anointed and always carries a strong message.

They are not so much of a thing today, but community choirs did so much through teaching & exposing the local excellence often sitting right under folks noses. This is the power of the Gospel, however as much as we loved and adored Lacreasha, we have many singers on this level, even in our Morning worship experience. My heart is so glad, Wilimgton Chester is so close to my heart, the minister of music grew up together, and did an album together, and Lacresha through Thomas Dorsey Convention along with Carol Antrom who wrote the song. It's a blessing.

You should really hear Lecresia sing lead on "Lord You're Holy" with the Mississippi Mass Choir, and "The Change Will Come" with the Wilmington Chester Mass Choir.

For more enjoyment of Lecresia's talent, you have to watch her videos with the Mississippi Mass Choir of Draw Me Nearer and Lord You're Holy; and the best video, I think, is an old special with the Soul Children of Chicago of Perfect Praise which is sometimes broadcast on black entertainment television around the holidays (the reaction from one of the children to her performance shows his amazement to what he was hearing is incredible). Just notice how choir member had a hard time keeping their composure when they sang with her, its just fun to see how good of a musician she was with a choir.
