Started following yesterday...great banter inside helmet and by the campfire....forgot about sardines for camping...great idea....growing up in Canada we had a sardine deal of some kind a couple of times a week...usually for lunch open faced on toast with pepper...my wife can't stand them so haven't had them in years.

Amazing trip! I like Sardines too! I sometimes get it with the hot sauce already added in. I may have missed it, but when you get a chance if you can share how you maintained your bike through out the trip that would be very helpful. Thanks for sharing your journey and safe riding!

You had me convinced to try sardines again, all the way up until you said, "spinal cords". Hahaha. I'll try 'em anyway. Great trip, commentary and videos. Thank you!

+1 on the sardines my friend. Smoked oysters also make for a tasty meal washed down with some cheap beer.

This video is a coincidence of sorts, because I am watching it on Daddy's / Father's day, well the first part of it anywho, have yet to have you respond to any post, not sure if you're still on the road or back home in Tampa;+) have a bunch of family in the area, also plan to take a trip to the east coast Indian River county take SR-60 about right across from Tampa, I will be riding a DL650 of all things...BTW the scenery has been grand indeed, these vid's make me want to take a trek to some of these places ! Thanks. yl

You spent a little time in my home state!!! I've got to tell you that I was kind of disappointed when I heard you refer to 'flyover states" in one of your videos when you were in California... There are a lot of great things to experience in the great plains states, but you need to get off of the beaten path like you did when you went to Ft Rob. One of our best motorcycle trips was through the sandhills of Nebraska a couple of years ago. It truly is a beautiful place if you relish the wide open and peaceful spaces. I'm glad you had a good experience here!!

Through you camera, I have got to relive my trip to Colorado Springs many years ago, ('82) I hope you have plans to wrap up your trip with one about statistics of the trip. Your format of 10 to 20 min. films was easy to follow. Ride to Live. SCFireman

Thanks for watching! I have kept track of all of the trip stats so I'll be sure to post those on the last video of the trip. I'll also be doing videos that show how the bike was set up, my camping equipment, what I packed, etc.

Well there's your problem, red wine with fish :-). Often being in the middle of nowhere is being in the center of everywhere. Looks like another perfect day / night, really enjoy the kick back in pace and the country town scenes, I think the word you are looking for to describe the townsfolk is 'reserved', we have places like that in Australia as well, if you are not born and bred 4th generation you are just visiting. Cheers
@GoSutto10 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah maybe "reserved" is a better choice in words. Thanks for watching!

Enders Game. Good book, and is also one of the books the Marine Corps requires of it's officers to read. Didn't know they had a reading list until I looked it up!
@GoSutto10 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I didn't know they required that but it makes sense that Ender's Game would be on the list.

Hey dude! Great videos. I've been planing a similar trip to this for quite some time. I have most variable sorted except the $. If you don't mind my asking... How did you fund this trip? How long are you going or planning to go?
@albion27429 жыл бұрын
Try sardines on toast,I think you will enjoy them better that way.

I wonder if drinking deaths are a problem in Wyoming to make it so that you have to go to bars to buy simple beer or wine? Or, it might be a money trap too like Pennslyvania!

I just got a Gopro and do a lot of touring, The Gopro is a 1st gen. What type of mic do you use on yours? Do you have run a wire from the camera to into the helmet? Thanks. Cheers.
@GoSutto10 жыл бұрын
I use a simple lavalier mic I picked up on Amazon. I have the mic positioned between the cheek pad and the inner shell of the helmet, the excess wire is coiled and taped behind the liner and then I just run it under the edge of the helmet and into the camera (Drift Ghost HD.) I used a GoPro Hero 2 with the same mic for all of my videos before the trip.

+NOOBRIDERR Just depends on how hungry I am. It's actually a pretty filling meal but if I'm hungry then I'll usually go for something else like chicken and rice or whatever else I have. Mountain House meals are my go-to if I'm super hungry.
@neuroplasticity9 жыл бұрын
GoSutto Haha true. It's just I imagine you're always starving since being on the road, especially on a bike is lot of work for the body and the brain.
@GoSutto9 жыл бұрын
Far from it. I eat just as well, if not better, when I'm on the road. I don't put everything I eat into the videos.

Weird people in Wyoming? You walked into a bar then walked back out because people looked at you in your gear?! Cowboy up! Sit down, buy a beer and start a conversation. I think you must have a lack of self confidence or maturity.
@GoSutto9 жыл бұрын
lol you totally missed the point of all of that. The bar thing was understandable...the other people I encountered in Wyoming were just weird, nearly every single one of them. Also, I've been accused of tons of things in my days but lacking confidence (reference the Austin video) or maturity has never been one of them. Thanks for watching.
