Nice temporary fix in a pinch but hopefully he lets you fix it for real. My neighbor actually fixed a hole in a pool liner without draining it with that tape and lasted all summer. Great stuff for emergencies

I subscribed. You're cool. Great job. My latest repair job is on a Whirlpool jetted tub that I want to turn into a Soaker tub. I used some knockout plugs to fill the holes then might go with Flex Seal clear around the edges.

I am doing a fix it now too. 16 in area of a tub surround cracked tile definitely needs to be removed. As a temp taped off the area above and below and will flex seal clear spray to seal it for the next 5 month til the repair will be properly completed.

@@ThatFixItGuy I am thankful for videos like yours. I can't get myself to do them dumb anxiety disorder gets in the way. Back in the day I was a phone need did one tutorial on wifi tether before it existed through the big companies and how to watch Netflix on a TV before they allowed. They were hits but no ability to sustain so I quit while I was ahead. Love the natural way you do this.

I would keep that flex seal patch on to see how long it will take to fail...P.S. The flex seal spray comes in pure WHITE..you can tell it's white because it says on the can and the cap is white..Not a clear cap..

I'm having my shower replaced because of a crack about 3 times as large as this. Do you think doing this would last for a month on a larger split? Just want to be able to shower at home in the meantime.

I think it would have been a good idea to make a round patch so there are no corners to catch and pull the patch up. It might last a little longer that way.

Could have been a bit neater and tape off the area to be serviced or maybe just treat the whole base of the tub for a nice feel. Anti slip I hope. If they had cement under there and it got wet and if stepping on it is hitting the hard cured cement over time it's going to reoccur. But yeah nice temp.

The problem was the mortar underneath was not done right and caused the issue. Doing the whole bottom may have been a good option. Thank you for your comments

@@ThatFixItGuy yeah I also did a mortar under the tub fix it for a 600lb tenant who kept breaking my tubs. Redid the joists and laid plastic down then bags of cement vacuum sealed the plastic and covered with 2 tarps before installing the new tub. That was 2006 and still holding til this day with same tenant.

I did the same thing but I used gorilla brand but it’s only to hold her over till she can save money for a new tub, also it’s just one person living there so one shower a day.

Still holding up. He is trying not replace the tub. At some point we may open up the wall and see just how bad the contractor messed up.

Why doesn't anyone do review real world scenarios with tub surrounds where the wall meets the tub? Like with uneven walls, large gaps at the silicone seams. What about using Flex Seal tape or putty instead of a silicone joint for tub surrounds? Finishing that and the edges of that with the Flex Seal spray or the caulk.

Temporary word fixing one now with that stuff on sorry but video nice small hole maybe on side compound will not work on an open section on the bottom keeps opening the fiberglass no support have to take a torch to get if off fix it right makes it worse to have to fiberglass over would not recommend for some reason holds moisture

I totally get it, but it is still working good and and been over 1 1/2 years. I would love to do a permanent type fix, but really the tub needs pulled. They really should have put a mortar bed and tried after the fact and jacked it up worse. Thank you your comments and for watching

I would give it a spray on top. It will seal your patch up nice. At least it did for this one.

Yeah. All creases will end up leaking immediately or soon after applying.
