It was an adventure but now upgraded to a 8GB AMD Raedon Pro WX 5100 from a AMD Radeon R7 450 w/2GB. Should buy my Windows 10 PC some time.

Small thing, I personally choose the option _prevent downloads of drivers form windows update_ to prevent windows automatically downloading a driver that I don’t wanna have.

I'm having an issue on COD where every time I boot my PC I have to reinstall my Nvidia driver or I'm getting 20-30 FPS at 1440p on my rtx 3080. All this time I was getting 130+ FPS consistently. Robey why did you make it so complicated to enter safe mode for the viewer? All you need to do is press Start -> Type System Configuration -> Boot tab -> click safe mode. restart and you're in safe mode. To return back to default windows -> repeat process and uncheck safe mode

Great video!!!! I was getting a BSOD when I was trying to install the the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT drivers on my windows 11 laptop. Often I forget that I am not using chatgpt, it's all happening locally. Games on the other side, Feel like a whole new world experience. The card is great and I would recommend it to anyone who's willing/thinking about getting one for sure.

If sticking with same brand all i ever did was uninstall the drivers and installed card and reinstalled drivers. If switching brands then I ddu. Plus amd has it own cleaner utility.

We have had issues with same brand and different cards and even upgrading. We use a lot of cards. I would do this every time just to ensure you don’t have issues. We have had it happen live on stream with both AMD and Nvidia.

I will say only run each test one time. I did corrupt my Windows install running the uninstaller multiple times. The Display adapters text wouldn’t show up in device manager.

I'd reccomend using PCpartpicker to check for incompatabilities between parts. Just make sure the GPU isn't too big to fit in your case then you should be fine.

You can look up a calculator for pc upgrades and just input what specs your pc has then what your upgrading and it should give you the information your looking for.

Thanks you so much man, my AMD driver just deleted itself out of nowhere and every time I tried to install the driver again, it was stuck at 3% and even when I used the amd clean up utility it didn’t fix it. But when I used DDU, it instantly worked. DDU is such a W Programm I can recommend it to anyone

Hi, perhaps a stupid question, but: If you uninstall your old card's drivers, swap with the new card and start the PC, won't you have a blackcscreen or something, not being able to navigate to install your new card's drivers?

You will be using the built in video from your motherboard at that point, so you will still see everything, just lower resolution.

7800, 7900 gre and 4070 Super. Ur choice. AMD has more vram, is better for the buck but can be power hungry. Nvidia has better "features" such as Dlss RT but very efficient interms of power.
