Yamaha through 2002! They really did have great fit and finish, '78-'98. Love : V-max 540, 83-88, 80-91 SRV540 fan, SS440 80-85, Exciter 440 fan, '77-'81. All the Enticer, and Phazers too!!

I’ve got a switchback assault,but last year I rode my SRX for a whole week on vacation. Then when I rode my switchback,I realized my SRX was quite a bit faster. Rode it last week for a 5 mile rip.👍👍

I started off with a 92 Tundra Lt, Dad gave me his Sport 440, then in 98 I bought a Yamaha SX-R 700 after test riding one. I put away my SX-R then got a 05 Polaris 700 XC, the Polaris beat the SX-R off the line but, down the stretch I caught up with my new sled and left it in the dust. Awesome Vid! Thanks good to see a SRX 700.

awesome machine! I had a bunch of the sx vipers and vmax models (all short tracks). they all brought us good'n far, but for some reason tho, the 03 viper would always spank our 01 02 and 04 mods 🤷‍♂️😄

I had come across two 2003 rmk’s, the guy bought new, broke his neck and back in early 2004 and the machines sat and sat and sat until I messed with them in 2020. He was going to sell them to me for 500 per but we ended up moving before he found them titles and I missed out. love Yamaha triples! always wanted an SRX. I have 2 98 vmax xtc 700's one is stoxk and one has triple pipes, clutch work, gearing, head gasket mod, reed spacers etc. bunch of little things and its faster than my dads srx. so I am thinking if I did the same to an srx holy crap!! haha

i burned a snowmachine up one time starting it up with the pipes off .the flash set the gas i spilled in tub on fire .old kawi 440 no fuel shut off valve.burned thru the fuel line in a heart beat.a word to wise

I’ve never owned a triple but my friends have and none of them ever kept them they said most of the time they didn’t run but when they did run they were a beast how come the three cylinders never lasted that long.

i dealt with faded plastics found that armoural soak it rub in with your hand watch it come back new i run 2 yamahas srviper se xtx and venture yamaha both 1049 cc both are 2014 i do all maintenance. pete are you anywhere near me i am at lake talon in north bay ont area

gotta love the old V-max! but not so much the suspension lol 🤣 some fellas would put longer brackets for the rear mounts to raise the tunnel a bit bit you'd probably be better off swapping In a skidoo M-10 or a polaris Xtra 10 or something like that for more travel and a better ride. hope that helps 🍻

Great post and good luck with it. I’d love to see you post gps top speed. I have a 2002 srx I bought in 2016. Had 1500 miles on it. Was in mint condition. Guy must have kept in temp control garage. Such great acceleration. 93.5mph on gps last winter.

Just found a1998 mountain srx 700 last year here in Central Iowa. Wich is rare. Also has the 780 big bore cylinders and whal racing secondary clutch and 8 tooth drivers yhat turn a 154" camoplast ripsaw track. It's currently under restoration now. And would anybody KNOW WHERE TO GET ORIGINAL TUNNEL STICKER GRAPHICS FOR THE SIDE????
