Another "NICE ONE"! Got 2 friends with about the same year Viper's with turbo's installed, tuned for 250 HP installed at Roger's Sport Center in Ft. Kent Me. One of them has over 20K miles on his, and still running strong! Those 1050 Yamaha Triples are pretty rugged engines! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all you good folks up yonder! WARNING THESE 2015 had 2 motors, the nytro engine(good one) or the newer engine,they had weak conecting rods and are only good for 180hp max.the good motor had the older style cam covers.the weak rods had the newer style cam cover,like the sidewinder engine.

I'd get rid of that tri-hub rear axle. You have to get those parts anyways for the adjusters, might as well change it to the 4 wheel kit, or even the 2 wheel race axle.

Pete, love the sled vids. Best on KZbin. But all the guys out there who would be looking at a busted sled resurrection project like this, a warning. Unless you've got Pete's level of experience... There could be a million other things wrong with a sled that's been modded and wrecked hard . Look at it this way if it was all an easy fix, then the owner would have fixed it. Very easy to get in over your head on a deal like this.

Those 550 polaris had oiling issues there's a little upgrade kit u can do to them. But I am unsure of the years they had the issue

I'm OK at wrenching but when it comes to the actual engine I'm not confident enough to do the work .. what would you charge to do the CAM TIMING on a yamaha sr viper? I Want to upgrade to hurricanes intercooler kit from their 190 airbox kit . But it says the kit includes a cam TIMING jig 😢
