I've seen guys take half a day to do what you did a fraction of the time. Similar process with the sand but they place the sand in the cracks and holes first and apply the chemical on after which tends to sink so they sprinkle more sand.

Greetings, very well, video. One question, how much is charged per square foot to build a floor like the one you did with the repair of the cracks and paint it with Apoxy?

What chair/stool are you using while hand grinding? I’m definitely doing my own concrete with epoxy. I’m in Arizona so researching to find the best product that can handle the Arizona 115 degree summers. Got any suggestions

Hi Jason do you sell that sit that you use to grainde the floors.?
@ConcreteFloorSolutions3 жыл бұрын
We do, however it is back ordered until mid September. I don't even advertise it on the site because it's not available yet.

Do you square off and even the depth of the holes in the concrete or are they small enough to not matter?

Why not fill first before sanding the entire thing? can you not see the cracks as well? thanks.
@ConcreteFloorSolutions2 жыл бұрын
In most cases we do, sometimes the grinding opens up the face of the cracks also. In this particular case, apparently I found it better to grind first

What type of sand did you use and where did you get?
@ConcreteFloorSolutions3 жыл бұрын
You can use play sand from the local hardware store, you just need to make sure it is dry. Or the finer the better if you can't get play sand

It does not, I, out of habit always mix part B first.

Thanks for the video. I have small cracks in my garage. If it gets repaired, will it still show or be visible with a metallic epoxy? I received a quote from a company and they recommended going with the flake epoxy to better hide the cracks. Thank you!
@ConcreteFloorSolutions2 жыл бұрын
Nobody can or should guarantee crack repairs. Concrete has a mind of its own and may continue to move even if the cracks are repaired properly. So the answer would be yes you can fix the cracks with epoxy, if it is done properly you won't see them, but it may move in the future and re-crack. That is always a risk on any floor. I do have to say the flake floors are fantastic for camouflage. Hands-down they are the most popular floors we install in garages.

Can i fill it with backer rod instead of sand?
@ConcreteFloorSolutions4 ай бұрын
@@QZCOATINGSWESTCOASTLLC if you are filling a crack you need to let the epoxy penetrate all the way down to the bottom of the crack in the sand, or it will not bond properly

My garage floor has bigger cracks AND has the white stuff (effer-ves-whatever) coming out of it. No soil treatment way back when. Anyway, will this crack repair work on bigger cracks and keep the white stuff out, regardless of whether I do the coating?
@ConcreteFloorSolutions3 жыл бұрын
efflorescence are salt deposits within the concrete. Something has created a high Salt content within your concrete. I don't think you are going to have an issue with the crack repairs, but I would be a little concerned about internal strength of the concrete if you have high salt content. My concern would be applying a coating, having moisture trapped underneath and activate the salt and push the coating off. I would recommend if you are going to try a coating, to apply a penetrating vapor barrier first. But even then I couldn't guarantee what's going to happen.

Why not use aerosil 200 to make cabolsil with material and patch with that. Leaves it flush no need for grinding after

I'm dealing whit a company that they don't say much of their products,and when I'm in a new challenge of work I ask questions and sometimes I have to figure what to do, that's why I ask you how to get your products, do you have distribution in Ontario Canada ,we can do business if you like.

Great job as always. You should try getting polyurea out of the bottle in Flordia. A minute sometimes would be a luxury. When mixing with sand mix part A first and then add B when the sand is coated. May give you a little more pot life when needed. I wire brush spalls. Maybe someday I’ll have a shot blaster...a boy can dream! My racatac is on back order. Seems no one has them😩
