That is how I feel the small cost of living payments about $10-15 always made me lose food stamps $10 and my rent at handicapped housing went up$35.i would rather keep my health insurance vs $17. I've asked my doctors what they thought and DHS but nobody had any ideas about it.

You got that right! Any sort of Social Security need an increase. Checks are absolutely not keeping up with the rising cost of living! My husband and I are both on Social Security and I would welcome the extra $200 a month that had once been proposed. That would give us an extra $400 a month and might just enable us to have all we need each month, rather than having to choose one thing verses the other.

Thank you for caring about all of us. I am disabled and get SSDI but not up to the poverty level. Because of the pandemic I get higher SNAP benefits right now but when that runs out in September I will go back to getting 16.00 a month. You cannot buy food to live on for that amount. Thank God for food banks to help fill in. I still see people begging for food or money every time I go to Walmart. It's really sad. Thank you for speaking up for us to the higher level. Thanks for your help. I think we need at least 1,000 a month for 1 person from June thru Dec. In addition to 2,000 up front and boost SSI, SSDI and SS to at least 1300 as promised by the President in addition to 200 per each recipient for food stamps and no limit to the amount of money that can be saved and to not affect any other public benefits such as medicaid. In addition benefits increase should be tied to the cost of living yearly and to never go down. The disabled and elderly need to be treated as humans with as much consideration as everyone else.

Why because your would be receiving 2 improvements look at the folks that don't get snap like me for instance I'm a disabled widow under the age of 60 and I don't get any extra help I'm on Medicare an hast to pay all copays & the doctor offices, meds car insurance stuff that the department of the snap program doesn't except and it's required by law but yet they can't use it. It makes me sick seeing folks not talking about u but those thats abusing the system by driving these $70,000 vehicles and having name brand clothes living off rental assistance its so unfair that they get by with abusing the system and getting these stimulus checks too along with children & on medicaid driving Cadillacs & kids wearing $100 plus Dollar shoes & high cost clothing. I don't understand how they get by with it. You drive through the government apartments and all I see is $60-$80,000 plus more priced vehicles.. I was at the grocery store the other day getting what little groceries I could barely afford and walks out with 2 buggies full of groceries steaks, ribs cases of cokes etc. Lady's carries Michael kors & high dollar purses loading there groceries in a Brand new Cadillac with 26 inch or more size rims. It's ridiculous waste that the world's getting by with & now there fixing to get checks for each children an we talking about 4-5 children each.. please I'm sorry for complaining but dang the disabled folks that don't receive any extra benefits is so unfair.. JS!! I know I'm not the only one who's seeing this stuff. There abusing the government funds for sure. Oh and definitely not disabled either. I don't know how they get it... ok sorry just had to vent.. But it's so unfair to the real folks that needs the extra help & can't get it. Especially dental work because I have no money to pay for it. Yes I take out extra benefits on Medicare but the dentist office shakes there heads and say they don't help us. Matt / SSI, SSDI, VA, Retirement, and other low income programs the checks should be at least $1,500.00 per month. Also should increase every year with Inflation/ prices rising at a fast rate. Everything keeps going up all the time. SNAP/EBT/ FOOD STAMPS needs to be a lot higher too. People are going half hungry through 1/2 the month, every month.

Cost of everything is increasing since May, groceries, gas almost everything and is not helping. Temporary help is needed however the Federal minimum wage has increased $3 in 50 years, HELLO

I never thought I would see the day when chicken WINGS cost more per pound than bone in chicken BREAST. Wings are now $3.49/pound, while breasts are $1.89/pound, both prices for the big pack of 4-5 pounds. I remember when chicken wings were around $0.59/pound.

It's a wonderful self explanatory letter. Only concern, it needs to be longer than the six (6) months until we the seniors, handicapped and other minorities under $40,000 to receive it longer. We do not file taxes and never get a rebate. We need additional funds throughout the year. That's it. All I can think of. Permanent basis only for additional funds. Thanks Matt.
