Yeah P Diddy ‘borrowed’ basically the whole damn song. Didn’t ask if he could before he released it. Paid a lot in royalties to Sting and had to give him writing credit. Leo, It was Puff Daddy ( pre Diddy) and Faith Evans featuring the R&B group 112, who made "I'll Be Missing You" which he (Puffy) lifted from the Police's "Every Breath You Take" as a song tribute To Notorius B.I.G" after he died. FYI Sting was the lead singer, bassist and guitarist when the Police were together.. Check out Sting's great songbook as a solo artist.. Couple of my favorites : "Fragile" and "Fields of Gold".
