Auto tune didn't exist when the the band was performing. They started in the late 1970's. Broke up around the mid 1980's. Auto tune wasn't invented.

Wow....this was so cool watching somebody hear this for the very 1st time. Might sound like I'm a wimp, and thats fine, but it made me a little misty eyed😥 I was 20 years old when this song and album came out. I headed to the mall on a Tuesday night in Detroit to grab it after working at Perry Drugs. Now I'm almost 60. God, life moves so fast.... I absolutely loved your reaction to this. They're my favorite group ever, saw them many times live, and love listening to them to bring me back to the good old days 🙂✌ Listen to their song "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" off the album Ghost In The Machine. $20 says you can't sit in your seat without jumping up and dancing 🙂💥 Loved your video❤🙏

This song goes back to 1983. Sting is the lead singer, and he also did solo work. Somebody made a KZbin video of this song with dogs watching their owners eating snacks, it was hilarious because dogs don't miss anything when it comes to food LOL. This song was popular, the Police did a lot of popular songs, so did Sting as a solo artist. I saw the "Quay smile of approval" right away here. 1983 is like " the other day" lol The year in May I changed my life from living in the heart of London and taking the traditional move of 12 miles to THe Outer London Suburbs where I'm still in the same house I moved to then :)

Yea girl, puff daddy wasn't even born when my generation was grooving to this song in the 80's, and that was an era when to be a singer and a successful one at it you actually had to be good at singing. Puff Daddy sampled this song without permission from "The Police" and they sued him for that . He ended losing the case and now he has to pay royalties for $2000.00 a day to Sting ( vocalist of The Police). Something similar happened to Vanilla Ice with Queen, when he sampled Queen´s hit "Under Perssure"for his "Ice Ice Baby"

Yes back in the olden days you had to play live to get a fan base so you could get airplay on the radio. I saw these guys at Foxborourgh 🏟️ in 1983. The opening act Flock of Seagulls got booed off the stage because they sucked live. Very few artists today can play live just don't have the talent

Love your reactions and you finally hit my favorite group! These three guys were the biggest band in the world when this song came out in 1983, but broke up not long after they reached the top with this song. Check out some of the other Police songs...like "Roxanne", "Can't Stand Losing You", "Message in a Bottle", or "Walking on the Moon" to name just a few. The lead singer Sting also went on to have a solid solo career and has a lot of cool songs you may like as well.
