My friend suggested me to check out Ireland. I am not 100 sure if i should go there yet. But one thing i am sure is that I should live a positive life and surrounded my ambitious friends. I am sorry but I don't understand if you already have a eu passport why on earth would you want to get citizenship of another eu country.For somebody like me who is British but who had a loving grandmother who was Irish married to an eglish man and living in Lodon.I know why I may want to pay for Irish citizenship and passport to get eu easier travel ect.Brexit has not done me any favours.

Giving you Irish Citizenship is a joke, you left Ireland & didn't want to be there. Citizenship is supposed to be for people living in & wanting to be in Ireland & paying taxes, not someone who comes for a few years & who departs.

You are a good person and I really am happy for you though I will be a bit honest here from watching some of your past previous videos you just didn't seem like you wanted to be here any longer. The last sentence you wrote on you settling in Ireland again feels like it will be more down to the having the options to do so in the future than the "desire" or dream of returning to live here again. I don't want to take anything away from you like it was a huge day and we're all very happy for you but there should be more of a debate on the entitlement to Irish citizenship like people moving here then departing and still gaining the rights to citizenship can be a bit upsetting. I'm sure you can understand it because being Irish comes with a lot of pride as you surely know this :D

Greetings from an Irish American. I am considering getting my Irish citizenship. I understand it might be easier for me as my grandmother on my mother's side was born in Ireland. I would like those of you questioning her move to explain to me why that is bad. As a citizen doesn't she still have to pay taxes? From another video I understand the population should be as high as 35 million, but thanks to the famine it has fewer people than the equally sized US state of Indiana where I grew up. Anna, I will admit I was surprised by this video since in your previous KZbin video from Moldova you were glad to be back. One is certainly allowed to change one's mind I suppose.

Don't speak for me. The Irish will be a minority in their own country in about 30 years from now , at this rate. Even the US brought in restrictions when 15% of their population was foreign born. It's about 23% here now yet our politicians are encouraging even more.! Funny, I don't see any ethnic diversity in the dail??

This process in difficult in every country. Irish rules are not the most difficult esp. Considering that there's no language tests. I know many people who have been living in Ireland for 15 years, have the Citizenship and can barely speak 2 sentences in English. So I think Ireland can make the rules even more strict.
