Hey Kev, love the videos! Just a quick question. I recently got three new peacocks. I put them in today and my dragon blood and OB have been terrorizing them ever since causing them to be crammed in the corner. What should I do? All of them are the same size and one of three new peacocks I got is also a OB.

You need to add more fish to the tank in total or add more fish at the same time. African Cichlids can be very aggressive especially to new fish. I suggest you check out my free webinar training that could be helpful for you - event.webinarjam.com/channel/KaveMan-Aquatics

Has anyone ever tried using a deep sandbed with cichlids? I'm considering putting down 3 inches of pool filter sand, cover that with a screen, then add 1 inch of cichlid substrate from aragalive. The screen should prevent the fish from disrupting the sand but wanted to ask around.

Is the quarantine tank running 24/7? Or you start the process knowing you’re going to get fish?
@KaveManAquatics Жыл бұрын
I have done it both ways. Now I run it 24/7 because of how many fish and tanks I have. But its also not necessary if you keep a seeded sponge filter available, you can set it up and add fish same day 😊 - this video should be helpful - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5fPfmSoebijmac

Absolutely! Probably oxygen deprived and ammonia poisoned for that many days. Keep the quarantine extra clean with fresh water and heavily oxygenated. You should also add some Stress Guard. They can recover from near death, I've had a few that arrived like that and today they are Studs!! 😊
