At every event with Dead Man's Bones, they used kids. It was always like Halloween with there being the dead world and the actual world and the kids were in the middle. They always had a talent show for the kids and served Pizza. There is a good documentary about Dead Man's Bones. They wrote the music and taught themselves to play the instruments, but it was mostly to let the kids perform. Some of their songs have been used in a couple of horror movies. They always introduce the kids. They stopped performing in about 2009. This is one of my favorites. Ryan Gosling won the Kirk Douglas Award this year. The speeches by Steve Carrel, Greta Gerwig and the acceptance by Gosling are all good. Steve mentions Dead Man's Bones performing at a Senior Center. Barbie was the first Gosling movie for me. The map is drawn by kids. Ryan Gosling is 10 years older than Margot Robie. When the movie was filmed he was 41 and she was 31. Ryan Gosling has been singing since before he was on the Mickey Mouse Club. He learned jazz piano for La La Land and he doesn't even read music.
