no matter how many times i watch this episode when shion gets shown i tear up every time. never gets old for me. this is definitely one of those shows that you get heavily involved in the characters very easily.

Yeah, Rimuru is pissed still. He just hides it very well. The main reason he spared and saved Myurrin was for Youm's sake. Rimuru cares a lot about Youm, and he realized that Myurrin only did what she did because Clayman threatened her with Youm's life. Myurrin was Clayman's slave and had stopped caring about her own life. But she had fallen in love with Youm and Clayman used that against her. Rimuru decided that forgiving Myurrin would not only make Youm even more devoured to him, it would also give him Myurrin herself who could give him information about his real enemy and target, Clayman. So Rimuru saved Myurrin instead of actually killing her in spite of his overwhelming anger at her for choosing to let his people die to save the man she loved. Like, he certainly understood WHY she did it, because he would do the exact same thing. But that's also why he was able to forgive her. That, and the fact that he had learned that he had the chance to resurrect Shion and the others. Despite the fact that Rimuru is very kind hearted, for the most part, he's also very intelligent and calculating to the point that he would have absolutely killed Myurrin if she wasn't more beneficial to him if he saved her from Clayman's control and let her live.

In the LN, he did not CARE that her life was on the line, just that she held her own life more valuable than ALL the citizens she ended up helping to kill... He very nearly killed her for real.

Yeah but the chances of him becoming a demonlord are impossible... first he needs the blessing of a true dragon, ie to be named by and share blood with a true dragon, like that could ever happen... Then he needs a demonlord seed, and that you can really only get by killing another demonlord or completing years and years of preparations... and its not like there's jsut a random orc lord who's evolving into a demonlord around that he could eat and get the seed from...
