Where do you want to go? You know, I want to go back Let's go home together If tomorrow comes, I want to grow flowers with you If tomorrow comes, I want to talk about love with you Run, laugh, fall, get lost, protect, embrace We'll meet again, right? @@GOTGames another thing: in the ending animation you see Mikasa with her hair up and a scar on her cheek, signaling it's her after all the events of the series, waking up in the afterlife signaled by the flowers close to her, and meeting Eren with their hands together and a buttefly on their hands, which means immortality and resurrection in many cultures and legends. If you notice, also: everything happening in the animation is shown chronologically in reverse, with Eren welcoming Mikasa after being alone in the afterlife in a place very similar to their home, which is even more apparent if you recall the previous ending to this one (where he is shown as a kid in a decayed Paradis). They can be forever together in the afterlife... Now, let the tears fall down.

@@DravenxEyelessYeah this is definitely them after life. But not just animation song shows it very well too. Last part of song shows how Mikasa finally come back to her home (Eren). “I've been trying to find The place I could look for the heart I gave up Who would've thought, Who'd have guessed that I'd find it here That I'd find it here, right beside your heart. “I know I'll see you again Let's say goodnight”. The opening with eren shooting a flaming arrow much seem a bit random but it’s actually a call back to the first opening of the first season guren no yumiya which translates to crimson bow and arrow with guren meaning crimson colored and is typically compared to the shade of burning red flames hence eren shooting an actual arrow of flames

It's interesting, I actually think Levi got one of the happiest endings among the main cast. He fulfilled his purpose, and made sure that the sacrifices made by the scouts weren't for nothing. He didn't have to fight anymore, and got to spend the rest of his days helping the world recover. Gabi and Falco got the happiest ending though. They get to build a life together, free from the cage they were born into, outside "the forest" they'd lived in their entire lives. Mikasa got something of a happy ending, though for her it's more bittersweet. She lost the great love of her life, but in doing so, had the chain binding her to him broken, and was free to find happiness down the road on her own terms. You see it in her final scene at the grave, that despite her great loss and mourning, she's still able to smile and move on. Armin's end is more ambiguous, but we know he and the rest of the scouts keep working as ambassadors for peace, though it's not clear how much progress they make in the end. It's not pure tragedy, I don't think. Tragic, yes, tragic for all involved, especially Eren, who by his very nature was trapped to this wretched fate, but they kept fighting. Not with violence and death, but by continuing to live their lives to the best of their ability despite everything, and they must have found some measure of joy in the lives they lived. They kept moving forward.

It is indeed a sad day. Attack on Titan has finally ended. After 10 years, it has finally been put to rest. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I believe it was around March or April of 2014.A classmate of mine in high school introduced me to the show. She showed me some clips and it looked interesting. Then I one day in April I saw the Toonami trailer and it really peaked my interest. Then one day of the same month I watched a video called Top 5 saddest anime deaths and the first death on the list was Eren’s mom. Saw that and I was sold. Hopped on Netflix and watched the first episode and got sucked in. I watched every episode during what remained in April leading to May of that same year. I wanted more and started reading the manga and was shocked to learn that there was more titans and reveals. I wanted to see all this stuff animated. But sadly the second season took too long but I watched the chibi shorts and OVAs and started watching the dub. There was even a lot of AOT fan videos and content ranging from Abridged series, cosplay, video games, etc. Attack on Titan was one of my favorite animes to watch during the summer of 2014. I still remember the amount of merchandise that year. AOT’s popularity was at its highest in 2014. But sadly somewhere in 2015 I believe the summer of that year its popularity started to drop. I could barely see any merchandise for it in stores. While games and the live action movies and stuff did try to keep it relevant as much as possible but luckily the trailer for season 2 finally arrived at the end of 2016. Then spring of 2017 AOT was back and better than ever. Sure Season 2 was 12 episodes but it did so much in those 12 episodes. I would still continue to read the manga once a new chapter hit each month. And with a new season coming out every year and divided into parts we didn’t have to worry about another 3 or 4 year gap. There was enough material to work with from the manga now. And the manga ended in 2021 but the anime was still going. But now we must truly say goodbye to such a great series. Farewell Attack on Titan. You gave us so many memories in these last 10 years and they won’t be forgotten. I hope someday new anime fans enjoy you just as much as we all did. Good bye.

What anime-onlys will never understand is that y'all got the BEST version of this ending immediately. Let me explain. The manga originally ended with Mikasa thanking Eren for wrapping the scarf around her. The end. No more. It wasn't until the manga released the physical copy of the final volume that Isayama added in the bonus pages, showing Mikasa grow old and have a family as well as the bombing of Paradis and the child finding and entering the tree (implying that history will repeat itself and Titans will return). In my opinion, those last pages made the ending better. But there were still flaws. The blood ocean scene was almost entirely anime-original. The manga showed the Rumbling's footsteps and Eren mentioned that he was unforgivable. Then Armin hugged Eren. Those were the only things of that scene in the manga that made it to the anime. However, the blood ocean scene was important for addressing the criticism that the manga's ending faced. Originally, Eren told Armin that he'd killed 80% of humanity during the beginning of their talk (when they were kids by the riverbank). Armin made a face and asked if Eren had to go that far, and that was his only reaction. They then moved on to talking about Ymir and Mikasa. Armin then punched Eren and got upset (as seen in the anime) about Eren hurting Mikasa's feelings. However, this really made it seem like Armin cared more about Mikasa's feelings than all the people Eren killed. This was made worse when Armin literally thanked Eren for becoming a mass murderer for their sakes. In other words, it really seemed to us confused manga readers that Armin condoned genocide. Taking this criticism into account, Isayama had the anime team cut the 80% dialogue from the beginning of the scene and moved it to the end, adding the blood ocean and having Armin react much stronger to the news. He also added in anime-original dialogue about the outside world being reduced to the size of Paradis, the war continuing, Eren apologizing for killing Hange and Sasha (whose deaths he didn't even mention in the manga), and the whole "see you in hell" line. They also replaced Armin's line thanking Eren for committing genocide with a new line where Armin thanks Eren for letting him see the sights beyond the walls (which is MUCH more in line with Armin's character). There are a few other additions and improvements as well, but my point is that you got an improved version. Manga readers had much more to criticize. I'd actually recommend looking into the manga at some point and comparing it to the anime to see all the changes.

I have to get it out. One comment that abounds is that Eren was reincarnated as a dove and there are even many jokes about it and that the ending is shit. I honestly don't know how these people come up with such nonsense. The bird scene at the end simply represents when someone loses a loved one and in a moment of sadness is asked to show a sign to know that they are still with us. Also, the bird represents freedom, what else would represent Eren? Personally, I think the same as you. A happy ending would be forced, I didn't want a Disney ending. An ending where Eren went crazy was against the character. A realistic ending was given, how it should be

You might want to react to the Linked Horizon song that played at the end of the final episode. You already heard it, but the standalone song has some stuff not in the anime version, and the lyrics are amazing so make sure to see them too

I always agreed that Attack on Titan had moments of it being a love story, and I'm not just saying that due to my love for romance anime but the love Mikasa had/has for Eren and the love Eren had for Mikasa will always be something beautiful and I feel the ending song really makes that known. Deep down AOT was a tragic love story but also a messed up power of friendship story if you think about it lmao.

The manga just soon…very soon😂😂 imagine anime delete half of sentences

It’s mostly the same but Eren and Armin dialogue is changed quite heavily. Some parts of the dialogue are better but some are worse(in my opinion). The other big change is Paradis only survived about 60-80 years in the manga while it became a straight up cyberpunk-esque city in the anime.

Honestly there's no better show than AoT out there "right now". Everyone could easily recommed you another great anime, but i really want you to know that you will not having the great time AoT gave to you, because nothing come even close to it. Enjoy everything else but remember not to expect something greater, because if you do "i think" you'll have an hard time enjoying another anime like you should.

i think it would be interesting to see if you react to your own 'first time ever' reaction of attack on titan

Ill only say that I think Fullmetal Alchemist has better writing for all of its characters. I would have liked to have seen more of Annie. Mikasa for the longest time was only following Eren blindly. Both endings feel perfect for their own stories though. I love both for the different emotions they give me. AoT's ending is grimm to say the least but the message I got out of it in the end is, enjoy the little things. Chase your own happy ending and for those special around you.
