This song is so beautiful. Something to know about this song and this title is that Taka wrote c.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h. for his 9 friends who were becoming adults with him. Each letter refers to one person. However one of those friends passed away in 2020 and I've heard (cannot confirm myself) that now there's little chance OOR would perform this song live as this is too painful for Taka to sing. The last time they performed this song was in the Field of Wonder online concert in 2020, not long after his friend's passing, as a tribute. They performed it with just Toru on acoustic guitar accompanied by a violinist. It was a heartwrenching performance, Taka was visibly struggling to sing it, while Toru almost cried.

"Dream as if you will live forever and live as if you'll die today." One of my favorite OOR lyrics. The song title is initials of Taka's friends. One of the H's is for actor Miura Haruma (Eren in the live-action AoT movies) who unfortunately passed away. They sang this song at Field of Wonder to dedicate to him. You should really look up the lyrics translations for this song.

Thank you for this reaction. You once again reminded me of just how much I love ONE OK ROCK! This song is written by Taka and is dedicated to people in his life - each letter stands for one. He sings about how he hopes to be buddies forever and how much he values the memories they share. The song got on a new emotional level when one of those people passed away a few years ago. OOR performed C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h. during their Field of Wonder-concert, and it was a heartwarming and heartbreaking performance. Btw. The other members' names are Toru (guitarist and leader), Tomoya or short Tomo (drummer) and Ryota or short Ryo (bassist). Toru and Ryota are childhood friends, and it was Toru's dream to form a band. Ryo learned how to play the bass in a ridiculously short amount of time because he wanted to join him. There's also the story that Toru kinda stalked Taka because he wanted him to be their vocalist. Recommendations are Pierce, Et cetera (both older and quite emotional), Yume Yume (also older and something you might not have heard yet) and Paper planes (not the most popular song, but the life performance is fun to watch) I hope you can see them live in Japan one day and that your dream of meeting them will come true. I'm rooting for you!

This song is about a beautiful farewell to a friend and the departure of each person's life. This song must be very important to him. OOR is such an amazing band. One of the best bands in the world. I was at this concert and of all the bands I was able to see while living in Japan, this one has stayed with me all these years later and I still watch the concert DVD. It was truly a magical experience. This song absolutely BROKE ME when I heard it live. It's always hit me emotionally, but live was so special and I'm so glad you feel that too. Others have chimed in already to let you know that the name of the song comes from the initials of 9 friends of Takas… the last H is for Haruma Miura, the actor from Attack on Titan, but he passed away from suspected suicide in 2020 and Taka has said he can’t perform this song anymore. 😢

Love your OOR reactions as always, and I was thinking that it would be truly awesome if we could see you react to a couple live versions of a song . There are some that are must-see performances that we don't want you to miss, such as the Field of Wonder, or special live at Nagisean versions of ChaosMyth. Then there's also "Decision" live at Saitama super arena 35xxxv, it would've had you in tears. Another way that show was Mighty Long Fall. I'm hoping that I'll finally get to see your reaction to "Nobody's Home", but the live at Yokohama arena 2012 performance is a must.

*Day 168* of recommending the *Beyblade openings* . There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
