SAO (Sword Art Online) has 3 main seasons, then 2 more seasons of the Alicization arc (or was it 3? Can´t remember...). Lisa sung most songs. And, it does have many sad moments, but also a lot of bullshit. It´s a consistent 6/10. Which might not be enough compared with Attack on Titan, but it remains a popular show. There´s also a spin-off show that is actually better than the main series.

@@GOTGames This is one of the anime that has GOAT song, but mid storyline. There are tons of anime you can try watching first before watching this. Otherwise, you'll end up thinking almost all anime will be like Sword art online when it's not. I can recommend Demon slayer, Haikyuu and Fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood for a beginner.

SAO suffers from not having a great adaptation, however the source material is great. Demon Slayer has probably an adaptation better than the source, and it's still mid, besides the animation of course. _preparing now for the angry nezuko fanboys_ lol

11:44 It's not a sad anime, it just has some sad moments. It's usually a very enjoyable anime with nice story, some epic fights and a good bit of romance. Mainly focused on a different VR Game in each season (each story arc actually)

@@GOTGames I'd say only watch season 1 and the 2 movies that are complementary canon movies to the story (season1 skip like a lot of content, that content is in the 2 movies released 2021 and 2022). from season2 and onward I think the story is less impactful and irrelevant, season2,3,4 is just "allright" 7/10, while season1 is like 8-9/10.

Honestly I never cared about anime endings until I stumbled upon this one. This is the best song song I have ever heard! Now I have to watch the endings to any anime I watch from now on. Lisa is just the best singer I have heard of. Every song she made was just a banger. Gurengu, Unlasting, Realize, Adamas, Oath sign, Crossing field,Datte Atashi no Hero, Akeboshi are just to name a few. Absolutely amazing singer even inspired me to write a book(I know weird)

Sword art online is very emotional. The MC is always fighting towards a certain goal. There are a lot of seasons, but the very best is the most 2 recent seasons of alicization. Some characters from the previous seasons appear in the show, but the seasons are quite standalone.

This is actually the first ending song for season 4. I’d definitely recommend checking out all eds since they’re also bangers and visually stunning. The anime version of unlasting is absolutely gorgeous in terms of visuals. One of my favorite endings of all time SAO ending playlist. ALSO! If you ever want to know more about LiSA, I highly recommend the documentary published by Netflix (one of the rare things I recommend by Netflix, but I digress). The name of the documentary is: "LiSA Another Great Day", there's also a full concert which is a separate video. I'd highly recommend watching it on your off-time as it's an incredibly heavy journey but one of the most beautiful; bring a tissue box!

The vocals are so powerful and this instrumental is just insane, This was my 2nd most played song in Spotify. Love LiSA, some of my favourite songs ever are all hers. This is definitely among them. As for SAO, it's not really a sad anime, but it does have highs and lows that come with any story that has life and death stakes to it, and they have the music that capitalizes on the big moments. Not every arc is amazing, but the series is popular for a reason.

You should definitely react to Shout Baby by Ryokuoushoku Shakai on The First Take as well. One of the most outstanding acoustic vocal performances there, even better than the studio version imo and that one is already awesome. Side note, Shout Baby is one of My Hero Academia's endings, one of the few endings that outshines its season's opening.

SAO is very much loved in Japan and the rest of the World, its the best selling Novel of all time for a reason. Sadly there is a very loud minority that hates it. That said, the music of SAO is what hooked me, yet have to find anything close to the SAO music in an Anime (and i dont only mean Openings and Endings).

Nah bro, it's not a minority. Large amount of people hate it. One of the reasons people hate it is because it tries to rip off from berserk specially in the first few seasons. Alicization was a decent watch though. Overall it's a 6/10 anime and the hate is understandable.

I wouldn't call SAO a sad anime in the usual way, but it does have an emotional core which is especially strong in certain story arcs. Four seasons (or three if you count Alicization and War of Underworld as one), in total about a hundred episodes I think. Plus a movie between seasons 2 and 3. And a reboot movie series of sorts which currently has two movies out. As for The First Take... when you reach season 4 part 2 in Attack on Titan, you gotta react to the First Take performance of the ED, Akuma no Ko by Ai Higuchi.

I may be a minority, but I think SAO is, all seasons watched, very high in my list. There are some ups and downs, but what series can do everything right? The Alicization story was wonderful to watch, I would always recommend it. It's kind of sad that people take the second part of the first story arc to shit on all of it. Do not mistake me, it was bad, but with the 1 or 2 exceptions, it's really good as a whole continous story. Sometimes I kind of wished that they took the best of SAO and Accel World (great Light Novels btw) and mixed it.
