SAO Alicization OP1 was definitely my favorite. LiSA’s vocals felt really powerful and fit the action happening in the video so well. And that finger bass at the end just SLAPPED. What I also like is that you start off not knowing who these characters are but the more you progress into the anime, you look back and realize who they are and it makes it so much more intensifying.

i dont know if you noticed but in the first underworld opening eugeo and kirito they did the handshake and went the SAME way together in the second opening they did the handshake and they went in the oposite directions both times at the end of the opening if you want to re-watch

My favorite opening is IGNITE, the one for the Phantom Bullet arc (Gun Gale). There's something about those opening bars @4:32, where you have Eir Aoi's powerful voice over the three main characters, then the strings hit as Death Gun's bullet cracks the screen. I like that it shows avatars as separate from the players (E.G. @5:00), which goes along with Shino Asada's mindset that she's a different person when she's Sinon; compare that to Fairy Dance's opening where when the the two "sides" share a space, the avatars are always shown as reflections of the players ( @3:45 ), which is much more like Kirito's mindset.

The reaction to the Sword Art Online Extra Edition is clearly missing here. And by that I don't mean Sword Art Online Alternativ Gun Gale Online. Which is an independent anime with independent characters and only used GGO as a model here. Sword Art Online EX takes place between the 1st and 2nd season. And it's kind of a little connection. In the second version of the second opning of Alicization whan Kirito and Eugeo did the handshake, there's a light behind Eugeo which indicated that he'll die. Also the singer for the original opening and the first alicization opening is the same!

Actually the Fanatio's scene in the bed is to show to the people the relationship between her and Bercouli (you can see Bercouli's sword in the wall) There are few opening left.. a second version of the 1st arc of war of underworld and for the last OP (minor changes to both, in battles specifically) There is also 2 more popular OP.. one for SAO ARS (a SAO alicization mobile game) and SAO Alternative GGO (a spin off serie based on GGO with different characters)
