You perfectly described Dani's vocals. First, unusual style and voice in general, and he doesn't follow the song structure. Their discography is massive, and I mean, their discography (without counting compilations lives etc. Only original songs/full lenghts) is one of the biggest in metal scene. And they obviously changed their sound a bit couple times. From more raw, to more gothic to more riff-based and aggresive (current sound). So it really takes some time to really appreciate what they have to offer, and even after two or five songs it's hard to grasp all of it. But in general, Dani always had a very chaotic style, I almost feel like he is improvising A LOT of parts in the songs. From the style he uses (narrating, high pitch screamig, growling, whispering etc.) to pronunciation. So I also get why a lot of people can't get into band (and because of some '""controversies""" related to Dani, basically people think he is a prick, but that's where you separate artist from the art) and the vocals in this song were not even CLOSE to his more extreme and chaotic performances. A lot of their songs/albums are more intensive than that too. So, it is a strange and really big band. Also the book idea is fantastic! Even some haters appreciate the lyrics, which says a lot!

There isn't a music video for it, but I would recommend reacting to a lyric video of Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids. That, or Lord Abortion. Lord Abortion was my favorite song in high school, growing up in a conservative southern baptist household with every aspect of me going against that dogma (sexuality, gender, likes in music, video games, literature, science, movies, clothes, etc.), and that song (as offensive as it is, but that was kinda the point), that song got me through that. Only reason I still give it so much weight today compared to their other songs. Bathory Aria, and any of their music videos if you want the extra views, are also fantastic as well!.
