Goth Birthday Dress 2021 | Madame Absinthe

Do you know the song Black No. 1 by Type O Negative? I was inspired by the following part in the song.
"Little wolf skin boots and clove cigarettes
An erotic funeral for which she's dressed"
That is what inspired my birthday dress concept for 2021! I think it turned out pretty amazing despite serious the serious time crunch and time limitations.

I'm short, I'm curvy, and I'm almost 50 but that's not going to stop me from wearing what I want. PERIOD! I love what you did for this year! Happy birthday, m'lady. I have to say, you draw very well in my view. Ive never heard of sister lace before - it makes sense though, having similar types of lace that compliment each other, or that contrast depending on what you're going for at the time. I didnt know mannequins had settings either, thats very cool. The outfit is...wow - you are so incredibly skilled, I always love seeing what come up with. And the feathers are really cool too - they set the whole thing off amazingly. As for favourite birthday dress? I honestly can't choose one, they are all so different - I dunno, I may have to think about that. :o)

I've never thought of selling patterns before! The problem is, that if I did they wouldn't fit anyone. I am a very unusual fit and patterns absolutely do not work for me, which is why I started sewing without them in the first place. Understanding your measurements and proportions is the key to making garments that fit you well. I was always extremely frustrated that pre-made clothing doesn't fit me right, so I decided to figure out how to make things that DO fit my weird body. And that's why I sew for a lot of drag queens and other unusually sized people - we really get the short end of the stick when it comes to things that fit us correctly.

Pffft.....I stopped caring what other people think of me. When I lived in Toronto years ago I remember I used to have folks scream in my face while walking down the street for whatever reasoning LOL I also had idiots throw eggs at my friends and I when we standing outside of one of the old goth clubs/bars many years ago.
