I'm sure if you look around online you can find some Begotten patterns secondhand! They're all gorgeous, so no matter which one you choose, you will end up with a beautiful dress. I really hope you end up making one!

Each to their own, but it does make much more sense to sew the sleeves like you attached them. Very lovely dress.

I literally JUST finished cutting out the pieces for a jacket I'm making. What a pain in the ass. Also, if you find another cheap pattern while thrifting you could do a video of you gothifying it. It would be funny if the pattern was for a numbingly vanilla garment, but with some Miss E magic, it is transformed into gothic gloriousness.

Thissss is what I want to make. I have about 3 yards of black velvet, a yard of tulle and some black crochet lace...I think I'm going to recreate this but make a "corset" down the front & back with the lace & suede cord.

Oh man. That looks lovely. And it really takes me back. Back in the nineties goth gowns were pretty much unattainable. So my friends and I would collectively buy a "fairy dress" burda patterns, and bug our moms into making it in that really cheap crushed velvet. I cut my sewing teeth doing that, even if I didn't know anything about materials or what a nap is or how to sew strech fabric. Really cool to see you doing this, and it looks spectacular.

I have a dress similar to this one that my mother bought for me to wear for my sixteenth birthday to Medieval Times. (I just turned 33.) I still have it too. You are so talented and I love to watch you sew. I have own machine but never made more than small pouches but you inspire me to try clothes. I might try the caftan first.🖤

Yes! You gotta find yourself a weirdo seamstress like me if you want things recreated from music videos. I personally love projects like that, but there aren't a lot of people who are willing to take them on. But anything that makes you look like a rockstar is worth making in my opinion!

I bought a pattern for a trench coat. I couldn't find a good one pre made for the life of me... I hope the quilted inner layer and the windbreaker outer layer works out okay... With how cold it gets I might as well make it a gambeson muhahahaha!

Lovely! I always loved bell sleeves until I got the bell sleeves of my dreams and I almost lit myself on fire, while of course being around a camp fire... okay I'll be real, it was a ritual fire at a pagan ritual... No good, my first and last time wearing bell sleeves :P

Oh that's terrible! I definitely think that bell sleeves and campfire shouldn't mix. What a horrible introduction to bell sleeves for you! As much of a pain in the ass as they are (mine are always getting in my way and getting caught on everything), I think you should give bell sleeves another chance because they are soooo beautiful - just make sure to stay away from flames.
