Loving the look, reminds me of Gary Oldman's Dracula when he first sees Mina in London. Plus I understand the struggles of wearing a hat, but for the complete opposite reason. I have thick, curly hair so I have to pin hats on or they just come off with a "boing" effect haha

Ahahaha! My partner had the same problem. He has massively thick curly hair and hats were always a problem until he shaved most of it off. So I understand the struggle! Such brilliant gifts - There is absolutely NOTHING as great as gifts full of stories and thoughts. My favourite has to be the Missy rat (actually seeing it on Instagram made me order home frozen mice and rat and follow a life long wish to learn taxidermy, so now I'm getting ready to make my first mouse :D - I have preserved wings and talons before and cleaned skin and bones, but never reassembled parts for a taxidermy display so thats fun). But the treasure hunt was a really cool idea too, and who wouldn't love a piece of a tooth from a smelly friend?! - like thats such a personal gift.

That's so GREAT! Brodie and I took a one day taxidermy class together last year and it was Awesome!! I had a bit of trouble with the beginning parts (how to cut around certain organs, etc) because it was all science-y stuff, but once we got to the rebuilding and sewing I was a pro! I guess sewing skills translate across many mediums! Anyway, I hope your mouse turns out; i would love to see a picture when you're finished!

I actually got mine from a scrap yard. It almost ended up being destroyed, but I rescued it and now it lives at my house. You can see it in my "Goth Apartment Tour" or "Goth Apartment Tour 2" video, if you're interested

I LOVE your hat!! I've been wanting one but haven't settled on one but yours is fucking amazing!! BTW, the chain looks like a necklace. I have one with a small lock. Luckily for the the lock doesn't close any more but it still clamps down and holds together. I lost the key years ago but still like to wear it once in a while.

I definitely could wear that chain as a necklace; I never thought of that. I am glad you like my hat. It was made by a woman called Gypsy Lady Hats, but recently when I did an internet search for her, I don't think she exists anymore unfortunately.

As we get older something just shifts and we are just not as centered as we used to be. Being as tall as I am if I teeter people will notice and as I don't drink alcohol it will be hard to state otherwise! LOL! @@GODDESS1966 I got a popped disk in my neck about 20 years ago from snowmobiling. Then the dizzies started. No more of that or 4 wheeling. Took ten years to diagnose til I found a thorough neurologist. 1st doctor said arthitis. I knew it wasn't in my 30s. I feel like I have a hangover when I get up everyday and only have about 6 drinks a year. Lol. It's the fibromyalgia combined with the disk. Not fun. At least I got the Lyme treated right away when I moved to a woodsy area. Then kidney cancer 10 years clear. I've been through the ringer and back. Whew!

The hat has never tipped over. I actually wear it out to antique markets frequently and other than not being able to fit through doorways, I don't have any problems with it. It's actually surprising snug and secure on my head considering his tall it is!
