My 10 Goth clichés: 1) I own a volume of the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe 2) I have the DVD set of all the original Universal Studios monster movies 3) I am a CANDLE FIEND. I can't get enough candles! 4) I make stories and one of them is a vampire thriller/adventure. Oh how I tried to distance myself from this cliché... but alas I failed 5) I have a black veiled hat that I wear out in public 6) I'm vitamin D defecient because I don't get enough sunlight 7) When I receive flowers I try to keep/preserve them even after they die and use them to decorate 8) I keep some things in coffin-shaped boxes 9) I hang up a skeleton decoration from my front window to scare the neighbors 10) I have a small but growing collection of crosses on my wall

I also keep my dead flowers for as long as I can, my husband ends up throwing them away :/

Omg, too funny. You check all goth boxes girl! I too used to hang in cemeteries, & train tunnel too, once we had a seance on a 200 yr old tomb. We also have a 150yr old coffin for sale, cause we like creepy shit lol! As always, i loved your video, pretty sure i could watch you read the phone book🕷🕷

I grew up watching the old horror movies from my parents and that show with Grampa Munster as host.

Iam Ruin I just find them so much more interesting than new horror. It was more about the mood and the atmosphere than just seeing how disgusting a film can be.

Miss E Exactly. Newer Horror is just jump scares and goreporn. Which is startling but it isn't scary. You need that subtlety and nuance to add to tension and blah blah people still go to these things so they'll still make them.

I really enjoyed this video, it sure maser me smile. I must admit I would find it much easier to write down 10 Goth clichés than 10 Ungoth Confessions!, but I kinda like that. I just love that beautiful waistcoat your wearing and was wondering if maybe you could do a video demonstrating how to apply these different types of studs to leather. I'm currently applying studs to an old leather jacket, and to my horror, studs ain't what they used to be in the early 1980s! Originally, they were two prongs that were pushed through the leather and expanded and the was it, now it's spikes and screws and I can't find the old cone style studs on ebay, so maybe, just maybe, you could do a video to update very old Goths like myself, the different types of studs and spikes available theses days. Yeah , I know I sound like an old fart, but it would be awfully appreciated. 👍😎

I Have not! I was in Philly a couple of years ago and wanted to visit his house there, but OF COURSE it was under construction at the time. So unfortunately I didn't get to see it. It is absolutely on my "to do" list to visit his grave and his other house, I just haven't gotten there yet! If I end up going that way, I will certainly let you know.

jevxminscrire I have been to Montreal a couple of times. I attended their annual goth picnic last year, as a matter of fact and had quite a lot of fun. I have not yet been to Windsor, though. Good to know there are cool things to visit there when I get around to visiting.

Love your videos and wish people -or more people--realized this IS you- no costume! along that line-you mentioned no religion for you--I am practicing lifelong Catholic-my only cringe is the treatment of what makes us Catholic.-Rosaries are a tool of great importance to us-not jewelry at all! My Irish family member wore her beads square from use-also upside down crosses and crucifixes and on crotches breaks my heart--not going to make this longer--sorry--but you talk about crazy things people say and do about your lifestyle and so I couldn't not say how "The Holy Crapper" is another cringe one for me and I dont think for a minute these things are done with intent to offend but it can. well,thats thats and really enjoy you letting us into you and your friends lives!!
