Hi Zeroy, I did this. My hair looked great something like yours, like a mini Siouxsie and the Banshees look but I immediately lost many chunks of hair and it took a whole year to grow back. I was kinda sad and I am scared to lose hair again. I did it again recently and I still lost hair. I wanna do it again without repeating the mistake and losing tufts of hair. What am I doing wrong? I only use hairspray later when the hair is up, not even using any hair gel. Could I have sprayed too much hair spray towards the end? But it wouldn't hold up throughout the night, no? I''m not sure, please help. Thanks. I did it to my husband's hair, his hair was kinda limpy throughout the night but he didn't lose any hair. I did the same technique. My hair kinda lacks volume too so even if I don't wanna go for a big look, I would like to be able to do this hair everyday without losing hair. Thanks!

I am not a hair stylist and this vid is super old so take my advice with a grain of salt… first I would just take good care of your hair, maybe even use some spray on conditioner before the process. Then you should be very gentle with the backcombing and even more gentle when you wash it all out! No ripping or pulling, just with a good amount of shampoo/ conditioner comb out piece after piece. Last but not least, don’t forget that we loose more than 100 hairs per day on the head alone. If you glue everything together, of course they can’t fall out so while showering it may look like a lot more than it actually is

Your death hawk videos including this one and the past one has been extremely helpful. I am about to do my own, now that my scalp has healed and my hair is growing more healthier again. I also liked your other video I believe was a death hawk hair update on how to deal with people who try to be negative or make fun of one's hair or style choice. Hope we see new videos in the future. are you supposed to put leave-in conditioner in at the ends if you have shitty thin frizzy hair (before you do the spray?) forgive me lol, my chronic illness is showing. idk if it's malabsorption or hormones or meds but we can't really fix it. i can only hope teasing works well with it
