This game actually isn't locked behind Steam anymore. I made a version that doesn't require steam at all, has all DLC. The Discord server has like 100+ players and everything.

I do love this game however the TF2 jab was not correct. The reason TF2 has lasted this long (even though it’s limping through it’s recent years because of no development) is because it is one of the greatest shooters of all time. Not to mention it spawning a whole genre of class based shooters. Ex: Overwatch, Paladins, etc. no hate tho, everyone is entitled to ones opinion.

Aw I miss this game. It was really unique but didn’t get the visibility it deserved; I never saw any ads or marketing. I remember even in 2012/13 I’d have a hard time finding any full servers, so it felt sorta… lonely? I’d try to convince my friends to play it but they were too consumed with WoW or LoL in between big studio titles, so I’d just be alone trying to find real people to play with.

Really miss those good ol' days of playing it on the 360... Some time ago I got it for Steam, when it was already F2P, only to find the same problem: Player base is dead... Anyway, I wish there were more people wanting to play it, from the ones that got it before it was delisted :(

I wish this game never went free to play. When it was a paid game in its prime it was awesome, unfortunately the matchmaking system was broken and it was almost impossible to find a game unless you joined on a friend and as a result died. The gameplay holds up even now, it's just not possible to find a game. Remember they did give players that had paid for the game on steam a heap of complimentary items for being early supporters of the game.

I really miss having so much fun on this game on 360. I remember i used to play with the springs on my shoes so i would jump and bounce really high and i had a double jump on top of that and i would go flying off the trampolines. Ive been wanting to play recently and it was so disappointing to find out that they delisted the game, yet the servers are still up and active, even if barely so. Really hope they relist it

I loved GCI when I played it 12 years ago, but TF2 is a significantly better game. If you don't like the limited automatic weaponry and lack of iron sights in TF2 that's understandable, but GCI doesn't really have the same level of map design, or skill cap. GCI is fun, but not exactly a game that could have lasted as long as TF2.

I'm assuming it probably failed because it's obscure and due to it's price and what not, I'd wager that it likely didn't get consistent content drops to keep people playing. One reason TF2 has survived for so long is because from 2007-2017 it had regular content drops and even now without major updates it's still had new maps and various small updates. Plus with how much is in TF2 it has insane amounts of depth, that's not even getting into what fans do on community servers with mods and plugins. It's a shame, this game does look fun and I remember my oldest brother playing it back in the day, I'd love to try it but sadly it being delisted makes it impossible unless you know someone who has it in their account and is willing to share their account with you.

I just started playing this again, and this takes me back. Of course, I’m on the Xbox version, and it seems you can still buy it for $15, but with the whole Xbox 360 marketplace shutdown, it will indeed be gone forever. Wish the community could plan out a revival day, like some people do with older call of duty’s. It definitely be fun playing this other people again.

I had thousand of hours playing this game on Xbox. It was such a well balanced (yet complex) mix of different body types, weapons, perks and parkour features. It was a cheap, fun, lightweight and frenetic FPS that felt better than the triple A's at the time. (Remember that time BF4 was glitched out and COD was surviving on BO2 and releasing Ghosts).

Loved it...I'm here after years away from the game for nostalgia. Pity it was such a throw away game as it had great potential if it had been maintained better. I think it was the buggyness of it that kept players from getting the game over...it was so off-putting when you were constantly dashboarded and kicked from games due to disconnection Favorite memories are playing in East End and ending up nemesising 3 players in the same game,and nemesising a top 3 player I was playing it on the 360,but I'm pretty sure it's not available on the X

I remember loving this game in 2014. I moved from a gtx 750 ti, to a gtx 970, and I was like , in respect of graphics, 'nearly there'. I think I had max graphics, but at 900p 60fps. I wanted 1080p 60fps. When I got the gtx 1080, matches were harder to find, but I could play at 4k 60fps, but I was scared, because the card's fans were whirring rapidly. Now I have the horsepower to run this game properly, barely anyone is trying to play We need a remaster, where the base graphics of the remaster are like the max of this version, and new maps, and 4k+ at 240fps+, and private servers options with a server browser, where anyone can join at any time.
