This really did help solidify my desire to play this game because I've been SO hesitant with the character designs... especially Jason because they had a base model to work with from Arkham Knight AND from other Batman media, so my only critique is that I REALLY do not like his character design. Everything else looks super cool though!! I'm so excited!

I think it’d be cool if they added a counter but make it so someone like nightwing or robins counters aren’t amazing but their dodges are great. But then red hood and batgirl have better counters rather than dodging

Not having a counter/parry is really disappointing. I was asking this very same question in another person's video, as it didn't seem present from their game play either. I agree with you that counter/parry maintains the combat encounter, rather than having to evade/dodge.

As someone who also played a preview, I can confirm you can gain a counter ability through skill trees. At least with Batgirl - I’m not certain for the other characters

hopefully they are able to implement the traversal machanics into combat ones. Like Red hood traversal leaps into a static damage wave, or Robin teleports behind an enemy to damage him from behind. Night wing could use his glider to quickly gain height to smash an enemy from above. Would be cool.

They've shown in one of the earlier ones that Robin can use his teleporter to remove an enemy from the combat zone and knock them out somewhere else, probably as an upgrade to the stealth takedowns.

I have created a lil theory. Batman is not dead. It was all a diversion to find something within The Court of Owls and exposed it. Expose all their secrets to Gotham. So big of a diversion that the bat-family even thinks that he’s dead so that the villains know of their face expressions of being to weak without Batman and from their dialogs being pessimistic. Its just a lil theory that i just created.

After watching some Robin gameplay I definitely agree with his staff melee combat I'm more than sure I'll probably main Tim first. Before that I was gonna choose Barbara, and at this point I've accepted the "evade system" I've seen at different points In the video where a good timed evade displays some nice animation with what appeared to a great follow up attack ending with a finisher so I'd say the good LOOKS to outweigh the bad or minor gripes so definitely a buy for me.

I wonder if it’s a way to nerf the players from being unstoppable. Think about the combos you could pull off in the Arkham games. Now you have the potential for 2 players… I think this is an attempt to control, in this case add to, the difficulty level.

For the counter issue I did see a “perfect evade” in the ign skill tree video that seems to make it more fluent in dodging so it dosent stop your flow completely in combat

Adding counters is not something you patch in. You have to add a ton of enemy reactions to make it work. Best to just learn to accept that it’s not gonna happen. Maybe this game will be good without it. Who knows.

This is probably a very minor point, but I am VERY happy that the GPS guide line is displayed directly ON the road, like how the Saints Row series or the Watch Dogs series does it. That makes navigation so much easier for me when driving.

One thing that I have noticed is that citizens have different dialogue for different characters Example: if your playing as robin they will say mean things like you will never live up to batman
