When a show is almost entirely comprised of villains you are bound to pick favorites from them, even if you usually are not one to have villains as your favorites. Cobblepot is just SO well done in this show, and his theme perfectly portrays his menacing nature and his limp it's so great.

The series would be good, if they made normal characters. Edward Nygma - An insane person with social issues, not even mentioning hes better than everyone else. Jerome - Joker as a ginger teenager, with the same issue as the Joker in the fanmade film "The Laughing Man", he simply isn't the Joker. And don't even get me started on Penguin... Cause i already did - No british accent, a batshit crazy psychopath with social issues and looks and acts like a teenage drug addict. The fact that he's slightly crippled can pass. Also, he's not even slightly fat or short. The only character they did good is Jimbo Bimbo.

Sovereign Penguin is more realistic? Original penguin is a classic criminal businessman, he is not a psychopath, making others eat each other. That is not more realistic. Riddler may be more realistic, but he's just an average smart dude. And Jerome isnt the original Joker, hes supposed to be someone who inspires the future original Joker to be.. well. Himself. But it doesn't make any sense considering The Endgame

Major Mate The classic penguin is a bit....boring to me. I KNOW I KNOW you may ask why a criminal business would be considered BORING? I don't know, he just seems so...typical, like the arrogant evil guy typical. Penguin in Gotham to me just seems to have more personality and motives, we can relate to him more, ad about him making people eating each other, that's god damn psychotically badass! It's hard for me to explain but yes Riddler in other games always go "Riddle me this riddle me that" it's quite annoying, apart from that he's pretty much the same. He plays around with words more in Gotham, speak more normally. But hey, just my opinions.

Sovereign No, i understand why he can be boring. Comic version of penguin are boring af, but Penguin in video games gives me chills whenever i see him, you know, just like everyone does with Joker. Gotham version of Penguin is fine, it's pretty interesting actually. But it is not the Penguin. It is not Oswald Cobblepot, not even in the slightest, that's why this show shouldn't be taken seriously, just for casual fun. I mean, if they're changing everything about this world, why not add a character like Penguin but just name him differently. That would be good.

I've always liked penguin because the way I see it, he's the purest batman villain. Bruce Wayne started batmanning around to fight corruption in the form of a criminal underworld, and penguin is a mob boss at heart. He's everything batman intended to go up against in one person and it's executed flawlessly in Gotham. Also, fun fact: penguin's design was based off of the mascot for a cigarette company

I absolutely LOOOVE the show Gotham for its characterization of the characters such as Penguin, (my fave), Riddler etc. The plot is a little iffy but this show is about these characters. Haters complain that the reason they don't like this show is because "Oh batman isn't in it so how can you have a batman show without batman," .... because it's not a show about Batman its called Gotham for a reason. But Oswald Cobblepot is my favorite character along with Selena Kyle.
