Great perspective on pre engine tactics, or slaughters. Gary said he usually saw 6 moves ahead, more like 10 I'd say, but such foresight seems lacking today due to the razor defences of engine training. I'm a noob so don't hate me if I have belittled anyone, but as engines are becoming spiteful and torturing good players I wonder what new skills are needed to succeed in chess.

Even Chuck Norris' greatest fear is a situation facing the beast of Baku in some dark, outlying alley. Don't run away because the last thing you should do is make Kasparow hunt you. Wouldn't end very well. There is also a video analysis of Kasparow vs. Topalow by The Big Greek from Germany. We saw the line when Topalow got mated with the pawns. Only in that one specific line, Kasparow had no pieces left but his pawns. Just amazing.

Would be great if you did a series focused on how super strong GMs play certain openings, your analysis would be much better than doing that on my own... Examples: 5 games where Magnus plays the London and 5 where he plays against it; Kasparov and the King's Indian; Hikaru/Anish and the Italian; Vachier/Nepo and the Grunfeld, etc. Your analysis of the different middle game plans on the same opening and how they play against it would be fantastic!
