Chess ratings are more relative than people think. If Levy takes this win and the many GM wins he's overcome to heart and focuses on just being solid no matter the opponent, his determination would get him GM status very soon. In fight sports there's a guy in every gym like Levi. A guy that can go in, train, spar, and beat world champions, but can't perform in actual competition. Part of the game is dealing with the pressure. On pure skill of the game, Levi is a solid GM level player, but unless he deals with the mental side he'll never actually hold that title.

Yeah yeah, I couldn't get that high in 50 more lifetimes, but it's still objectively not that big of a difference, especially in blitz. Levy could pull off the win if Magnus goes too far in some offbeat opening; wouldn't even need him to have a "bad" day, just a "weird" day where he tries too hard
