Levy's reaction when he discovers who it is he has just defeated is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
@vadim1915Ай бұрын
Translated Ian's phrases about the game and Levi. (I removed the moments when he thinks out loud about the moves). “Oh, Levi Rozman. He's almost a grandmaster, isn't he? A famous chess player, probably the most famous chess player now. Not like us. “ (Ian sneers and trolls, but without malice) "e5, c5? What is he usually plays? ” Yawning "g6? I don't know this move." After E5. "Yes, I probably shouldn't have done that, I let him develop pieces and improve his position. “Bishop C2? Looks like I won't be able to save this game, it's already clear. ” "I'll make a Bishop d1 move. I don't want to give up yet. " "I really don't want to resign, but I guess I'll have to " (Visibly upset ) "Let's go knight to b7. At least we won't suffer for free." "Well, it turns out the chess players of different classes have met. It's hard to beat him. " (Ironizes at his bad game) After rook b2. "Okay, now I should be in a better position." (Cheered up) After g4 immediately realized the mistake. “Blunder rook b4 .” (Shakes his head) " Oh, my God. I have no words for it." " Instead of an easily won game, now it's going to be a hard one. Why did I do all this?" "What the hell is going on? But still, we have an equal position... That's dumb." (Talking about his game) After king g7. "Okay, it's important to get out of a fork, even future grandmaster Levi Rozman would agree". (Making fun of himself rather than Levi.) After losing a pawn on H2. " What an annoying guy. " "He certainly plays this game brilliantly. If I lose, I won't be surprised". "I'd hate to do it, but I guess I'm gonna lose. Jeez, what's going on?" "The guy easily out-blitzed me. So effortless." After the game. "Is it me that bad, or is he that brilliant?" " At some point he started playing really well. Or perhaps I'm just out of shape. Maybe it's both. " "There's a lot of shame, isn't there?" After analyzing the game and seeing all mistakes. "Yeah, it's such a historic shame. That happens." "Losing to an amateur is frustrating, what can I say." ( It sounds a little less rude in Russian. As an amateur, anyone for whom sport is not their main occupation. We usually use the word “dilettante” for a insult. But if you want, amateur can also be used as an insult in this context.)
