I prefer the 'live' version, this was still a good video, but your banter with the chat is what makes guess the elo even better

We have had several draws, but i think they were all by stalemate. We haven’t ever had a repetition in guess the elo

To me the humor feels more sterile without the chat. That being said, I agree with you saying that the instructional nature is helpful.

yeye, tbh, I feel like the normal guess the elo episodes are instructional enough as they are, I just mainly like the more fun side of things with chat and stuff, it feels more lively, if you get me besides, Levy has pleenty of other instructional videos and professional game reviews

For me, the interaction with chat and the energy is the main thing I like about guess the elo. This is still entertaining of course but I think the live style is what makes these magical

6:31 They had to avoid stalemate. Qc7b7 preparing Rc8# would have also done the job but they were honing in on giving checks, so this was easily overlooked.

I enjoy both formats, nothing about not having the chat is putting me off. I agree that the energy is higher with the chat but sometimes that can be distracting. Both have their place.

Well said and agreed. Its a wonderful symbiosis - we get free, great entertainment that brightens our day and he makes a great living. Social media gets a load of shet (and fair enough) but its also a great platform

18:14 yes, there's been a draw before. From a lost position, your sub managed to paralyze its own king and pawn. I think that happened twice. Can't remember a draw by repetition, though.

As many other have said, I, too, prefer your live GTE's, mostly because of your banter with chat, but since this series is so amazing, if you need time offline to get an episode out, that's completely fine! We love the content, Levy, keep up the amazing work, but remember to take days off. You're making so much quality content so frequently, don't overwork yourself! :)

I enjoy the instructional tone, but I don't think you should sacrifice the energy when you feel it's warranted. Also I think the chat is a helpful component to an episode

Levi im not a youtuber but from a psychological standpoint, It proves to be more useful when you talk about the sponsor of the video in the middle of the video, That way people already have your attention and tend not to skip it. It is a trick Mr. Beast often uses.

I like this format decently well, I will not be dissapointed to see more like this in the future. Further, I propose giving yourself a scoring system for how well you guess elo! - Predict a range of elo, like 1300-1400. - Use this method to calculate a base award: Take the spread, here it is 100, and divide 100 ("par" for your allowable spread) by the spread [so here we take 100/ (100 spread) = 1]. This means you get more points for a more specific guess. -Now award yourself points equal to (base award), OR subtract points equal to (base award * elo outside the range) (max 2 point deduction

personally i like reading twitch chat when funny moments like queen blunders, “trying to queen castle” etc happens. but this type of gte is also fine, just it’s much less chaotic.

I like your instructive content when looking at games but I love the chaos energy of guess the elo as it's more entertaining than instructing. Ik you have rating climbs but maybe have a series like this where you analyze full games between similar elo players looking at openings and tactics seen on the board at various levels

Personally, I'd go 80% live guess the ELO, 20% like this. PLEASE don't stop doing instructional videos though, they are actually my favorite!

Guess the Elo is hands down my favorite series, or perhaps closely tied with any of your recap videos. Personally, I like when it's done over Twitch with chat and such. This was great regardless and I was surprised you managed to keep the same energy without chat. I have to subscribe on Twitch and get one of my games on there lol

I never thought I’d say this. I feel the content was good and Levy was entertaining, but I realized how many times I look over at the twitch subscriber’s content. It surprises me how much more is there when it’s live. I’d still watch either way it’s done though. Thank you Levy for always having good content. I really enjoy this channel

People say that the game of chess is like life. That is inaccurate. Chess is a controlled experiment that demonstrates the flaw in the human condition. Unlike in life, in chess you have access to all the information and there are no circumstances outside your control, and yet you still lead yourself to ruin.

This video enables only Roasting of the players while in live it's the audience which gets roasted too ... Double roasting is double the fun. For instruction games you already have seperate videos too
