Yeah knights are terrifying at low elo ; their checks force the king to move and they can easily fork stuff out of nowhere. I'm somewhere in the 800s and I've often had knights casually picking up a dozen points of material. beginners can kind of understand straight lines and diagonals and play against it, but they just lose to knights.
